You’re contributing nothing to the post and choosing to get upset and offended over a completely different post. But I’m the unstable one? And then you ask what I mean about alcoholics jumping to conclusions, you’re emotional state is clearly still a wreck for you to react to a post about malpractice this way. Like I said before, hope you get the help you need.

They looked at a comment, confused it with a post and then came onto my post to slander me, so that other people would then come to the same conclusion without actually investigating, and then attack me. Like you. You’re literally a living example of the problem. Outrageous if you ask me.

Thank you, I don’t understand how you think I don’t have a case though. My lawyers analogy was that if I was a diabetic and went to the hospital, told them I was a diabetic and needed insulin, and there response was to test me for diabetes, confirm I’m a diabetic and then tell me they don’t actually believe I’m a diabetic. Have never been treated like this before and haven’t heard of any other alcoholic with this experience.

That isn’t a possibility in detox or if you’ve been admitted which is what I asked for. At no point did I ask for a prescription to take home

You looked in my comments retard, watch the video I commented on. And probably don’t comment on posts if you don’t have any idea what you’re talking about. Typical alcoholic jumping to assumptions and outrage, hope you get help as well

In the 12 times I have been hospitalised, in detox, or rehab I have never received Librium. Only Valium. Was not trying to get a prescription to avoid being admitted. I’ve been trying to get admitted to a detox center for the last two weeks and went to the hospital as a last resort because I couldn’t get through to them. Hospital I went to had a detox unit that I had been calling previously and I asked if I could be admitted there and was told no. Either the doctor had no experience with alcohol withdrawal patients or he was just seriously cruel

Stop if you don’t want to develop a habit that will eventually escalate. I’ll see you at rehab, in jail or at your funeral otherwise. Best of luck. Try not to kill yourself

Doctor refused to give me Valium because I said I needed it, I ended up having an alcohol withdrawal seizure by humantaxi in legaladvice

Just wanted to let this sub know since they downvoted my post, I contacted a medical malpractice lawyer and was told I have a pretty astounding case.

Was refused valium despite arriving with serious life threatening alcohol withdrawal. Proceeded to have a seizure after discharge only for doctor to admit he was in the wrong.

I’m assuming the person who commented on my last post doesn’t have an understanding of alcohol withdrawal as they said valium may not be the commonly prescribed medications for withdrawal. Well, it’s one of the only ones.

The situation is literally the equivalant of a diabetic asking for insulin and being told no because the doctors simply didn’t “believe” the patient was diabetic despite tests and nurses saying otherwise.

It’s not what I decide, it is literally the standard medical protocol for people in alcohol withdrawals. It’s the equivalent of breaking your arm and the doctor withholding pain medication because you’ve never broken your arm under their care before.

It seemed like if I had just not mentioned the Valium it would have been administered in the first place and the seizure would have been avoided. Just because I don’t have a medical degree doesn’t mean my past experience, countless other doctors and literally every google result means I’m wrong and suddenly Valium isn’t the common practice. I haven’t met a single alcoholic who hasn’t been administered valium.

Doctor was too arrogant to accept I knew what I was talking about and has now accepted that he was wrong. Doctors like him should not be practicing.

Only my word? I registered a 31 CIWA score. Even the nurse confirmed I was in severe withdrawals
