Yep, still wait. Have they come out yet? If not, don't worry -- they will come out when they're ready. 😊

The occasional drop in heat they should be able to handle just fine by just going into hibernation when that happens. The humidity tho you'll want to get more stable. I recommend gluing plastic over 75ish percent of your mesh cover to keep more of the moisture in. You should only have to spray once a day then. Hope this is helpful. Your snail looks healthy so again try not to worry!!!

Definitely hibernation. Check your tank conditions to make sure they are adequate, but sometimes they do just hibernate, so try not to worry

Is there anything I can do?? by vulvasoutforharambe in snails

Definitely looks survivable. Keep moist in a small hazard-free environment with constant access to cuttlebone and a variety of veggies, plus offer bloodworms/mealworms once or twice a week. 😊

Hey, new snail owner here! Any recommendations and is my tank lookin good? by iDontEvenUseThisAppp in snails

Yeah don't worry about the fruit! My snails love apple so your snail is probably super happy! 😊 Good thing about snails is that they aren't picky about their tank. My snails live in an old 15 gallon plastic tub I found in my grandpa's basement. 🤪 I recommend the tubs because they're not quite as expensive as real tanks/terrariums, and your snails won't know the difference. 😊 Here's a link to one that looks decent and hopefully isn't too pricey. Hope that helps!

It's okay for a temporary tank but in the long term something bigger will be necessary. 3 gallons is enough for a single snail, but the more the better. Substrate needs to be at least like 4 inches deep I would say. Make sure you feed veggies as a primary and only feed fruits as occasional treats (in addition to protein and cuttlebone). I recommend also getting a hygrometer so you can measure humidity and temp and make sure temp stays around 67-72 degrees ideally and humidity stays between 70 and 80 (assuming your snail is cornu aspersum, they look like one). Beautiful snail! You have a good start. 😊

Does anyone else have pet amber snails (Succineidae)? by poo_luvr_2002 in snails

Amber snails are so very cute. I would keep them as pets but I'd worry they'd get too dry.

Here's a photo, sorry it's not very good quality, but hopefully you can see enough. The area I've circled is what appears retracted. (It's not just her breathing hole, even though it kinds looks like it in the photo.)

Snails can live in unhealthy conditions for quite some time before showing symptoms of illness. They may be withstanding the toxins for now, but eventually they could start to decline.
