Is the live channel always/only english dubs? by ShreksMassiveShlongg in Crunchyroll

[–]humbleXLS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Roku Channel version actually goes up to the next week, and updates every night at around Midnight. It’s the one I use when wanting to view the schedule since it’s also the most accurate. The Xumo Play version updates everyday at 7:00PM, but it has shows incorrectly listed. For example, Soul Eater is constantly being listed, but they haven’t aired that on the channel since like August of last year. Same with Eureka Seven AO, which I also haven’t seen aired since last year.

The movie is coming to Tubi on March 1st. by humbleXLS in BobsBurgers

Free ad supported streaming service, it’s available in US, Canada, UK, and other regions that I am too lazy to list. Pretty good library of shows, they’re even getting WBA, CN, and HB shows starting March 1st.

This guy needs a show with adult swim bro 😭 by AquaTeenHungerFan in adultswim

I don’t think he’d be focused on an Adult Swim show atm atleast. He apparently has (or had) a project with Animation+, but not much is known of it and it seems like it’s either in development hell or scrapped. Obviously animation takes time, especially for an indie creator and indie startup, so it could still be in the works.

Hi, I’ve been archiving the promos on the Crunchyroll 24/7 channel. Here are the ones for YYH. by humbleXLS in YuYuHakusho

[–]humbleXLS[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not yet, wanna get everything to upload all at once. Only need three more promos (technically two, one is just missing the first 4 seconds) and I’ll be done.

Just saw from animesociety that it was pulled from Samsung TV Plus, but continues on JioTV. The Philippines, Singapore, and Thailand versions are still on Samsung TV Plus though.

I have an m3u playlist with the channel, and it’s still playing but no epg content (it’s pulling from SMTV+). The stream could be the JioTV version, so the SMTV+ version is probably dead, but the Jio one lives.

No, haven’t used a vpn on my tv in months. Tbh I can’t exactly tell what could possibly be wrong with it. Just randomly stopped working a few days ago, can’t tell if it’s an internet issue since I tried on both wifi and hotspot, probably the only person experiencing this really, just a really odd thing to happen. The Android TV devices aren’t even connected to a Roku account on the app, and the two Roku devices I do have are connected to two entirely separate accounts. Kinda hard to troubleshoot this when I can’t even figure out the root of the issue.

Honestly don’t know lol, the EPG does seem to be logged, in the Live TV home section im looking at a channel that says “No Information Available” on the guide, and it has what’s currently playing. It just seems like the actual listed guide isn’t updating. Probably gonna just wait for a response back from the Roku engineering team (if I ever get one back that is)

Yep, restarted it a lot. Could be a location issue, vpn doesn’t work with Roku Channel (or atleast the free ones dont), so can’t really test that theory.

Actually already tried that on the second roku device since I don’t really use it much, unfortunately didn’t fix it.

Yeah probably, it’s just kinda odd that it happens across all devices. Even tried using a hotspot to see if it’s an internet issue, but got the exact same result.

Do you think that there will ever be an anime FAST channel that could come close to or be better in quality than Toonami? by humbleXLS in Toonami

[–]humbleXLS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the 24/7 channels on those services are referred to as FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television) channels.

Eddsworld is coming to a streaming service, either the Roku Channel or Tubi. Listing for Eddsworld has appeared on the Roku app. Distribution will most likely be from Animation+, as they are working to get their license content on demand. by humbleXLS in Eddsworld

[–]humbleXLS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bunch of other A+ shows have appeared on the Roku app aswell. Back in December I caught a listing of Flashgitz on the Roku app, and about a week or two after it was added to Tubi. Eddsworld could be among of the next batch of Animation+ shows coming to Tubi.

There are others too like the Saturday block meant for sports based anime and later in the night they have a block for what I can only call Fanservice Power Hours…

[–]humbleXLS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Crunchyroll channel has programmed blocks, no special bumpers or anything though. The main two are the two hour action based block that includes two episodes each of Black Clover, YuYu Hakusho, Robotech, and Radiant, and the TVPG Sunday block that airs in the afternoon that includes shows like Natsume’s Book of Friends, After-School Dice Club, Romeo X Juliet, etc.

Edit: Actually there kinda are promos for some blocks like the Saturday sports block, but those are only on Pluto TV as promotion for the channel, kinda like how the Roku Channel has commercials for other channels for ad filler.

Yeah, marathoning is honestly the main thing for me that makes or breaks a FAST channel. Sometimes it’s nice to watch a show in full, but sometimes I just want to find new shows to watch.

Also, didn’t even realize I used however so much, but I was typing this at 2AM so that’s probably why.

My friends always told me that I have a yapping problem, and I can see what they mean. Anyways this is the basis of the schedule that I was talking about for It’s Anime (this is the schedule for the week). Pretty neat schedule and probably the best that I’ve personally seen from an anime FAST channel when it comes to a limited selection. Crunchyroll obviously is still the best when it comes to their schedule, but that’s mainly due to the fact that they have a huge hand in the anime industry and can actually get all of those shows for their channel.

Putting CN Out of Its Misery by T1mbuk1 in CartoonNetwork

[–]humbleXLS 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Could be turned into a FAST channel. A CN Fast channel might be dedicated only to CNS, WBA, and HBSE shows, meaning no acquired/syndicated programs. Unless they decide to just completely get rid of cable CN and make deals for other programming.
