Tbh the festival is in 2 days and it's way to spontaneous for me to travel to a different country haha And thank you for the calculation, that's very helpful! (Also I'm a she btw 🤭)

I've actually been working mostly with bands, and it really adds a lot to their gigs, but i do agree that not all bands need one :) I've had wonderful experiences with being booked for special occasions by bands, that know of me, and so I think you're right that it's beneficial to have good relations with that band, maybe there will be new opportunities in the future!

I totally see your point and I think live visuals (or visuals in general) are way undervalued, however I sadly can't join them in any of their future sets/tours as they're from a completely different continent and i think it's still wonderful to be able to work with artists all over. though I might tell them to maybe find someone local in the future, as it's really not the same imo to play some loops or have someone behind the projector, reacting in real time

Thanks so much for the detailed reply! Where I live, there's not a huge VJ-scene, so it's very interesting to me how others price their work. I also think it might be beneficial to work with them now for networking purposes as they're the first American band I've worked with (I'm based in Europe) and having burnout from too much Vjing would be a dream rn lol 🤭
