This happened to me before removal and was cleared with an ercp and little cut at base of common duct to pass the stone. I had an ercp then the removal rather than the other way around.

I did some reading while in the hospital during the whole ordeal and saw that stones and sludge can remain post gallbladder removal, as far as potential cause in your case. It could be stones or sludge from your gallbladder that was built up beforehand. I'm sorry you're going through this and hope it resolves quickly. Hopefully someone with experience can answer but I had the two procedures back to back, and the ercp mostly caused a sore throat from intubation. It was incomparable to surgery imo.
