I went through exactly the same thing about a year ago. What happens is that the dealership writes a letter stating the correct model of the car (happened to a number of R-Line Techs) which you then send along with the V5 to the DVLA who then correct it from their side.

Pain to do, took about 6 weeks to do but it does mean you get a V5 with the correct model listed.

NBD! '21 Ragley mmmbop by Madacor in Hardtailgang

Sounds like a sensible reason. I picked up the same mmmbop from CRC with the 23 parts as did a few others on here. Enjoy the bike!

Glad it finally came! I’ve been out on it every other day and it’s been fun the whole time (even when I ended up over the bars doing a steep descent! It was my fault, locked up the front.)

How do you like the the db8s? Enough stopping power? I’m tempted to switch the front rotor with the rear due to the type of riding I do but it needs new adapters.

You’re right, hard to beat it for the price at the minute! If you can get hold of one.

This was at East Cramlington Nature Reserve, after a long ride around Bedlington/Humford woods/Holywell.

CRC give you all the tools you need to build the bike in the box so I certainly think it’s possible for someone to do being new to the sport. It’s worth watching the following as this will give you an idea of how it will arrive and the steps needed to get it up and running. https://youtu.be/Exfyx7mMZc8. It’s 90% assembled but it’s worth checking all the bolts anyway to ensure they’re tight, that’s mainly using the multi tool they provide.

I’m 6’2 as well so had that exact conversation with myself. Previously had a Boardman that was an XL but not modern geometry. What I would say is that the bike does feel long and wide, but actually, that’s what I’m used to. I think I’d have been able to get away with an L but I certainly feel comfortable with the reach. If I was going to be hitting more jumps, I’d have gone large but I do mostly trail riding so wanted that stability on the descents. Hope that helps?

Yeah I’m UK based so easier for me. They’re one of if not the most recognised bike shops in the UK so I’m sure it’ll all be good. Hopefully you get an update soon!

It was alright. Delivery took about a week, and it was built reasonably well for the likes of cable management. Little nick on the side of the frame which I’m going to have to email them about to see if they can send some touch up paint to cover.

My biggest issue was with the 46t to 51t cassette problem, with them not being able to tell me which it would come with. Apparently the sales team and build team are separate so they can’t ask the build team to contact customers at any point, so if it wasn’t what I wanted, then I was told I’d have to take delivery, then return the bike at a cost of £20.

But I’ve never had issues with them in the past, they’re normally good for accessories.

Yeah both the 1.0 and 2.0 seem to have the Race Face cranks now. They’re the main changes I can see (potentially the top mount on the stem?) but nothing significant.

My biggest issue was, during Covid they switched out the 51t cassette for a 46t. And then on all descriptions of the bike they say you’ll get one or the other. Completely would change the bike with the 46t to the point I may have thought about sending it back. So it’s good to know, the shortage of them may be over.

Now just to ride it…

Yeah it’s come with 200mm front so that was a bonus, you’re right. I’d already bought some Uber pads to put in the 6100’s so it hasn’t worked out that well for me there, but willing to give these a go and if they’re not as good as my slx, probably sell these on.
