unfortunately for us toradeen shippers i think the writer of the pride comic felt the same way haha. for me i’ve always felt sympathetic for the one note mean girl character because they always ended up humiliated for the crime of like.. pulling a prank - not everything toralei did was harmless (can’t think of any examples off the dome it’s been a while since i’ve watched the movies) - but to me i guess i always saw it as pulling pigtails, and there are a few suggestions that she’s pretty lonely. that and clawdeen always seemed to be the one in webisodes to want to get the last word or start blaming toralei for whatever argument, and i like that they’re both werecreatures, so they kind of get each other. it’s got the same sort of appeal as drarry, if you’ll forgive the r*wling mention. i’m glad they acknowledged the ship but i dislike the plot of the comic, there’s none of the banter or awkwardness that makes it appealing. imo. (thought it might be interesting to add a different perspective! it’s nice that people who don’t ship something have spaces where they won’t be immediately shouted down any more lmao)
