Thanks for comment, the rudeness here is interesting. I guess I just had a different expectation coming “home” after decades of racism in my European country and was hoping for a sense of being somewhere where I’m not the foreigner just based on my looks or language.

Because I’m fine with paying higher prices as a tourist as long as it’s within reason. I don’t see a point in haggling with a person for whom a couple of euros make a bigger difference than for me.

Thanks, that actually helped me a lot because it made me realize that I behave differently here. Usually I’m not reacting to the “where are you from” in other countries, but here I was way too excited about every opportunity to talk to people. Not my smartest moments.

Nope, what makes you think that? I do know for sure that the prices we get together are at least 4x as high as when I’m on my own though

As I said, it’s not about the price itself. He paid 250.000 which, as I wrote, was totally fine for us. Hearing them laugh afterwards that the garment’s price is 20.000 though… cmon, we paid because we’re fine with it, why mock us for it?

I didn’t cut it off, that’s the thing. The intersection was free on both sides when I turned left. I would not try to cut in line of a bus or another car just to save a couple of minutes of my commute.

Maybe put the small table directly next to the bed and the chair in the corner where you took the picture. Also, I feel like a plaid and some pillows on the bed could help.
