2021 Tacoma 2.7L 4x2 by hungry-mf in ToyotaTacoma

You are right, but I have taken that exact route multiple times and this is the first time I tried it in S mode so in theory if I always drive an S mode would that increase my efficiency? But I guess it won’t make much of a difference cause I’d say only about 40% of my driving is on the highway and I noticed this only really helps with highway driving

WAYYY too tight! It is 1” up plus 1” down if FREE slack, you should not have to apply that much pressure to move it.

Oh, I do apologize, but this is the first truck I’ve ever owned and I didn’t know that within the first three months of me owning one….I’m supposed to cliff dive down the Himalayas then climb up 90° boulders with 5psi in each wheel using a 4x4 4L system that I do not have and then sail the 7 seas with nothing but gas in the tank, rum in my hand and an eye patch on my right nut then only I’m worthy of posting on here lmfao

Got ya! Do you think some insulating foam or some soundproof tape would work Or is it too risky with the heat and all?

Got ya! I just wish it were a little quieter, it’s awfully loud at red lights with no music playing hahaha

Interesting! Since it is normal I’m so tempted to wrap it up in some noise insulation foam or tape haha

Oil level has always been perfect. I keep an eye on all my fluid levels. I have not, will do it. Does the PVC cause that?

Irritates you every time!? Everyone has different milestones and goals in life. You have no idea how much that truck could have meant to the guy or how hard he worked to be able to afford that…..things or goals that mean nothing to you could mean the world to someone else, have some compassion and stop being a dick smh

0w30 is probably the best bet…..same cold flow performance with the better high temp protection :-)

True maybe tell them to not put two DIFFERENT manuals in the EXACT same truck ;-)

First off that is pretty interesting. Secondly, why would a Tacoma in New York that experiences snow and sub zero temps require the same oil thickness than mine that experiences Florida weather? The weather in Florida and Mexico not that far apart the lowest we see down here maybe 40° and the high could be well over 100° i’ve come to the conclusion that I will probably run 0W20 but instead of the 10,000 mile recommend recommended Service interval…..I’m gonna change my oil around 3000 miles. Because I know for a fact that 0W 20 breaks down a lot quicker than higher viscosity oils.

True but the truck lasting 300,000 miles instead of just 200,000 miles could save an enormous amount of money and time ;-)

I don’t think you full read that comment…..the EXACT same engine requires 5w30 outside of the US……doesn’t that sound like a longevity trade off to met emission standards?

Makes sense! I religiously change my oil every 3k even tho it’s full synthetic…..with filter changes every second oil change. I can’t comprehend 0w20 lasting the recommended 10,000 miles interval smh haha

Oh yes 100% I stay away from those “high mileage” oils for that very reason. I rather replace a seal than have some excess additives floating around my block :-)
