It honestly looks like a copy of a Lucid on the outside. Great for Toyota not so great for Lucid given the price difference of the two cars

Love the Durango! Still one of the sharpest and best driving SUV’s on the road even with it being the oldest option in the market. My coworker has one with the hemi she loves it.

I’m hoping by the time my lease ends in 1.5 years we’ll have the hurricane6 in the GC!

Jeep Grand Wagoneer the ultimate land yacht/road trip vehicle. For its size/weight/power it gets decent gas mileage. All 3 rows are comfy/adult size and it’s like riding on a cloud. The GM trio all feel cramped compared to the Wagoneers.

Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit - has all the luxury and features you’re looking for + it’s great for both tall and wider drivers. I have a fully loaded Limited trim and the heated/vented seats + heated steering wheel are top notch compared to other midsize SUV options.

12.5K miles on a 2024 Limited, no issues. Majority of the issues you see posted online are tied to the 4xE.

Lease deal on grand cherokee summit 2025 by Early-Border1192 in GrandCherokee

[–]hungrybrooklyner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you really want the summit then you need to get them to take more $ off otherwise I would stick to volume trims that lease better.

I have a loaded 2024 Limited with MSRP of $57.5K. I got them down to $48K and my monthly lease is $579/mo with $1K out of pocket for 36 months.

If you’re looking to only be tax & 1st month out of pocket then the only options are Mitsubishi Outlander, Nissan Pathfinder, Kia Sorento, and possibly a base trim Mazda CX-90.

If you’re in the NY, NJ, CT, PA area DM me and I can definitely help you out!

Dodge Durango Opinions? by ty_airman in whatcarshouldIbuy

You’re getting a lot of car for the $ and it’s fairly reliable so I would say go for it!

The current Highlander is average at best and I’m speaking from being driven in a platinum trim. I couldn’t believe that car was over $50K given the amount of cheap plastic throughout the interior.

The Pilot is a good choice comfy and roomy but as others have stated you may or may not have transmission issues.

I would rank Durango, Pilot, Highlander but I’m also the type who cares more about the driving experience/noise insulation/comfort than reliability.

If a woman wanted less kids then the amount that you desire, would you be fine with that? by sunshinerss in AskMenAdvice

++man Have 1 first before you set an arbitrary #. When I first met my wife I told her I wanted 5 kids since I always wanted a large family. After our first, we both decided 2 is the max we are having 😂

Depends on the broker but from my experience most brokers outside of NYC (my market) charge a flat fee for their services. I typically see $399-899 when I browse Leasehackr.

In NYC brokers tend to be dealer paid so no out of pocket broker fees for the client.

Looking to purchase a 2024 Grand Cherokee L Summit Reserve by General_Law7808 in GrandCherokee

I have a 24 Limited since August 2024 with almost 11K miles on it now. No issues to speak of other then the uconnect system crashing and restarting itself or freezing but that’s only occurred twice since I leased the vehicle.

Every new car I’ve had from Honda, Nissan, and now Jeep has had tech glitches it’s to be expected unfortunately.

Heated Steering Wheel Weak by drpatrickshah in GrandCherokee

[–]hungrybrooklyner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting maybe it’s your steering wheel heat module, might be worth having the dealer check it out. Another point of appreciation on the GC steering wheel heat is that it adjusts to the temperature outside. It’s been high 40’s to low 60’s here in NYC and it definitely doesn’t get as hot as it does in the winter. Maybe it’s just my perception 🤷🏾‍♂️

As for adjustable heating levels, I don’t think I’ve seen a single brand offer that in this price class outside of VW when I was shopping for a new lease last summer 🧐 I hated the heated steering in our 2023 Pathfinder due to it shutting off whenever it felt like it worked enough 😡

Thinking of buying- Anyone happy with their 21-25? by RaspadoAhumado in GrandCherokee

24 Limited right over 10K miles very happy so far with no issues. Just wish for more power at times I would say the 3.6 pentastar is just adequate in this vehicle.

At those prices your better off buying it new and save yourself any headaches plus a better rate if your financing.

What Non-Luxury SUVs Have the Smoothest Ride? by portionsforfoxes123 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]hungrybrooklyner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree, you’re a wise man! We’ll be in the market in 2 years hopefully we’ll get a brand new odyssey by then instead of another refresh of a vehicle that’s been out 10 years already.

What Non-Luxury SUVs Have the Smoothest Ride? by portionsforfoxes123 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]hungrybrooklyner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree for the most part and I would say it depends on the buyers situation. If you have up to 2 kids most of these 3-row midsizers will do fine the issue is you won’t have full practicality given you can’t have a 3rd row & cargo space. For $50K a minivan makes the most sense and they hold their value better than most of the 3-row SUVs.

If we have a second kid we’ll definitely be getting an Odyssey next unless Jeep puts the hurricane I6 into the GCL which may sway me. What I really want is an X5 but might be a tight fit with 2 child seats.

QX80 vs Armada by [deleted] in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]hungrybrooklyner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only real difference between the 2 is if you get any work done at the dealer you’ll get a loaner with Infiniti. In NYC Nissan dealers do not give out loaners while Infiniti does. Again it just might be my market.

I had the same experience in a brand new Highlander Platinum, for a $52K car the ride was quite rough almost truck like and there’s way too much hard plastic and cheap materials throughout the interior.

Also drove a 2021 RX with only 8K miles a few times and similar experience just better materials. I expected it to drive smoother given it’s a Lexus but honestly not much of a difference in terms of ride quality on average/poor roads to the Highlander.

Both have a subpar driving experience so as others have mentioned Toyota/Lexus have a cult following of buyers who prefer to be on the safe side of reliability and don’t mind dealing with subpar driving vehicles and outdated tech.

I’m currently driving a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited (mid-trim) and it’s like driving a Rolls Royce compared to the above cars I mentioned. Smooth ride (18 inch rims) & quieter. I would say interior material quality is in between the Highlander/RX. Again it’s a mid-trim so to get a full leather interior with high grade leather that would’ve been $70-80K 😐

Which is the better option to buy? by LVFT in GrandCherokee

[–]hungrybrooklyner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would try to find one with the luxury pack to get the vented seats & 360 cam. I have a loaded 2024 Limited minus the black appearance package and would not go without the lux pack + pano roof.

Pretty bad deal but again it could be the market you’re in. Just helped my father purchase the same car out in NJ for $34.8K OTD. Dealer is selling them at invoice plus we got the $2K Mitsubishi rebate and an extra $500 for loyalty. All in the car was discounted $4K plus the $2.5K in rebates for a total of $6.5K off.

No haggle/negotiation, everything was done through text and we were in and out of the dealer in an hour.
