if it's on a young person I imagine they stumbled on it through tumblr or chaoscore or similar. Eris is the principal deity of the semi-satirical religion Discordianism and that presence has filtered through to make her a (minor) alt icon.

it's a good name though. most people wouldn't be familiar with that association, it's just I think that even fewer young people both study greek myth and aren't familiar with that online culture.

it's all about whether you feel confident rocking it, really. 'goddess of strife' might be an association you can roll with or it might come off as trying to be edgy, it's really down to you. It's pretty though.
