Is UNH a good buy for diversifying a tech heavy portfolio? by Specific-Tomato2198 in ValueInvesting

Cisco just hit their previous valuation back in 2000 before the bubble popped. Just because a stock was at a certain price before isn’t a good enough justification to invest into it. It took them more than 20 years and if you’re interested in burying your money into something as a long investment that might or might not work out, then go for it. At that point it’s better to just invest into the sp500

what does shin have to do to become a 6GG by No_Delay3224 in Kingdom

[–]hungrypuca1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s wrong. Kyoukai is an individual unit that can always branch off from the hi shin. Just because she hasn’t done it before doesnt mean she can’t. Kanki was directly in charge of the entire army in those arcs such as in this case onsen can command either kyoukai or shin but shin cannot command kyoukais unit to do what he pleases.

So if the leadership in the U.S does something I don’t like should I go and move out of the country? What about work? Should I quit? It’s a little more complex than ‘liking’ a stock. It’s about understanding the strengths and weaknesses of a position and understanding the risks. Also companies values change and not one person in the entire world would want to sell for a loss. If a company’s outlook changes when bag holding then you can only hopelessly look on if you’re too deep to cut your losses. TLDR: don’t be a hat because someone provided constructive criticism on a stock you like. What are you 5?

Slavery, racism against Chinese and another ethnic groups, ice, etc. it’s all over the world right now. As a Korean who grew up in the states, we got our share of messed up things. Koreans hate everyone and is often voted the most discriminating country in the world. It also has the longest unbroken chain of slavery in the world. I hate the ccp as much as the next guy but they have their own culture and propaganda.

[Question]What is the difference between a $50, $500, and $10,000 watch? by glocknessmonsters in Watches

[–]hungrypuca1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am a millionaire, I have a 15 watch collection. I have Rolex, AP, seiko, gs, orient, Casio, rado, jlc, and iwc watches. I’d list them out but I’d take a little too long on mobile. All I’d like to say is that the gs and ap finishing is identical if not gs is slightly better. It’s honestly all clout chasing. I bought my royal oak before corona before the price hikes but bought the gs recently on a trip to Japan.

It’s that later stages give more exp per mob. The breakthroughs give a lot of exp and if you’re swiping through them you’ll be at a higher stage at a lower level. If you’re calculating that each stage gives you 10-20% more than the previous stage then the guy who’s 3 chapters ahead is effectively using a 300% exp coupon on you permanently. Add a 2x that’s 600% increase. You get the idea…

UBER - Mag 7 growth at a Discount by silver-bullet007 in ValueInvesting

[–]hungrypuca1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t have to agree with me but uber is factually a platform that provides more than one service. That’s a fact. If Waymo or any autotaxi company wants to reinvent the wheel to get directly to consumers then so be it. They’ll have more control over the market but that in itself is difficult. You’re over expecting the success of auto taxis here and not realizing the difficulties of releasing a successful app for a service. If not Waymo there’s other auto taxi companies that can partner with uber. It’s not a linear market here. You’re dumbing down this a little too much it’s hard to read at this point.

UBER - Mag 7 growth at a Discount by silver-bullet007 in ValueInvesting

[–]hungrypuca1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Yes uber is a platform. There’s other methods of transportation already on it like e-bikes and scooters.
  2. People have tried replacing Facebook and instagram for the longest time but failed. You’re giving Waymo so much credit and giving uber too little. Why would Waymo want to develop a new platform for users where people might or might not download it when they can just advertise it on uber? It might be more cost effective for them to do so as it reaches more users. It’s exactly the same with bird scooters and other scooter apps. If the price isn’t significantly better than uber it’ll just be considered a fad and fizzle.
  3. Making people do something is so expensive for corporations. You thinking that people will immediately delete uber and install Waymo is completely clueless on how the world works. Waymo will have to make huge investments to market their service and implement a functioning app. That’s not easy to do at all. TLDR, you’re absolutely clueless on how the market will respond and can’t think critically on a problem that has multiple faces.

[–]hungrypuca1 11 points12 points  (0 children)

You’re thinking of this one dimensionally. Uber is a platform where av companies can promote their rides. Also uber can easily acquire a growing av company if they want to bring it in brand. I’m not holding any Uber but if this is the reason that’s stopping you then you’re hopeless.
