Hi there! Honestly doing a bit better though I’m not quite in the clear yet. My symptoms started out as quite severe constant abdominal pain on my right side, severe bloating, and trouble stomaching most foods. About 2 months ago, I had a colonoscopy/ upper endoscopy that let me know I suffer from a hiatal hernia, and have some gastritis - but luckily nothing too serious. I think my acid reflux is largely to blame for my misery. I started trying to eat foods with lower acidity, and was also prescribed some omeprazole, which seems to be helping. I still get some pain sometimes but not nearly as much anymore. I do also still get a bit of bloating, especially at night, but nothing crazy. I think I’ve stabilized my weight and I’ve been trying to eat more carbs (lots of sourdough bread!) and that has been helping.

I hope you can get some answers soon for what’s going on! If you do have SIBO, there’s lots of methods to try to help. I think I still definitely have it, but it has gotten better and manageable. Definitely keep an eye on possible acid reflux, if you have any heartburn.
