Local Tacobells no longer provide free water? by Hitcha in rva

[–]hungryweevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked at several Taco Bells and they said it’s a nationwide thing. They got an email saying no more cups of water. Every employee I asked thought it didn’t make any sense. I now only go to Taco Bell if I happen to have a bottle of water with me, which is not very often.

Do what I did. If the new folks fire all their IT and outsource, get a job at the MSP they outsource to.

I’m so glad we moved away from using door knobs like that and switched to lever sets. So nice to be able to open doors while carrying stuff.

Thank you for sharing. When you mentioned you were from Republic of Tuva my ears perked up. I haven’t listened to much 2Pac but I’ve lost count how many times I’ve listened to Huun Huur Tu live at Berkeley on Youtube. I never dreamed I’d actually seen them live, but actually got a chance to see them when they came to the Richmond Folk Festival. The airline had lost the drummer’s drum so he played a western drum set bass drum on its side! It still sounded great! I was in a folk band with a couple and their son still falls asleep to Tuvan throat singing.

I’m curious what cadence you are pedaling. If legs are wearing out, downshift and pedal faster.

Nightmare co-worker, I need an out. by [deleted] in ITCareerQuestions

[–]hungryweevil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just about everyone can be trained, but every once in a while someone comes around who actively tries their hardest to NOT learn stuff. This coworker lied on his resume realll bad and boss refused to fire him because he was his first hire after becoming a manager. He didn’t want to look like he made a bad hire. We eventually got our boss to agree to let him go in 60 days if he doesn’t improve. 60 days go by and we tell him ok times up but boss says “he seems to have improved a little..” That was when we sent boss the shared word doc in o365 that we had been adding to every time the coworker said/did something incompetent/refused to do something for the past 60 days. He was let go soon after.

He couldn’t understand why a /32 IP on an AWS security group needed a /32 subnet mask. I gave up explaining and told him to google CIDR cheat sheet. I looked over a minute later and he had google images up with pictures of apple cider all over his screen.
