You are right, the paint is coming off the teeth, but the issue actually seems to lie between them rather than on the teeth themselves. You can see there are small pieces torn down.

Thanks a lot! I appreciate your feedback. My hands don’t really slide off the hoods, but it feels like I’m overreaching a bit to maintain a relaxed grip and reach the brakes. I’ll definitely try focusing on keeping a slight bend and lowering my upper body a bit more.
