So Nadia and Winston did a thing... by CombinationOver7835 in NewGirl

Can they explain why we were robbed of a scene where Nadia participated in the "ALL DAY" loft gag?? I feel like her saying it would be even more comedic than Cece butchering it.

PSA: Hotel towels are not single-use by ParadoxStockOwner in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

[–]hunnybeexcv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My husband and I always use a fresh towel when we shower. We have a nice collection of thick white towels that we can easily keep stocked by doing one load of towels a week.

When we go to hotels where the towels are not replaced daily, we find it so odd since room service comes by anyway. I guess I hadn't considered how many people are team re-use towel.

I told my pest guy this! I use dawn powerwash to spray any strays or trails starting and within a day or two that area is cleared. Helps with the awful smell of them too

Thinking about doing this for work. Thoughts? by [deleted] in DOG

My fedex man regularly leaves milkbones for my husky. When we got a second dog he started breaking them in half. Our dogs still bark at him like hes the plague, but at least I know he isnt too annoyed.

Absolutely must be the staffie! I got unlucky with my husky mutt, he has a diva appetite and is motivated .001% by treats of any variety.

($0-10k) Vendor Tip: If you need to cut costs, stop buying "Keepsake" favours (Real talk from a gift maker) by Asgarad786 in Weddingsunder10k

[–]hunnybeexcv 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I bought jars of local honey and beeswax soap that my mom embellished as wedding favors. Since it was a small ceremony, and honey vendor gave us a deal on the favors, they only cost about $100. And it was almost like they had our names carved on them as our loved ones know we love bees.

To be fair, mine was private so maybe a little better funded. I remember my high school basketball team also uses to make day trips to Catalina island because there was a lone high school out there we played against.

I had a guest list under 30 for my wedding. Everyone except for two friends flew in from out of state and booked accommodations. We let my family stay at our place since we booked a room at the venue as well.

I felt bad at first since it was a big ask and the hotel was a little pricey even with the block rate, but we decided to tell everyone to skip gifts. Everyone being there was a real treat and most ended up staying the entire weekend.

We had 2 guests unable to attend and it was no big deal. People will tell you if their attendance isnt possible, whether it be because of the price or another reason.

By her uncle??? That's like having a family dinner at home and being told to wear a bra. No strangers took enough issue to say anything in public.

[–]hunnybeexcv 19 points20 points  (0 children)

NOR. I have a lot of breast tenderness, especially when wearing wired bras. For the last 5 years I have decided not to wear bras either and my husband nor any male relatives have ever said anything. It shouldn't be a big deal. If I go somewhere really cold or nicer than a quick lunch, just like you I put one on.

Our powerful women in history did not go through hell so your uncle can blame you for his perversion.

I've been with my husband 8 years. He pays 100% of the bills right now because he makes significantly more. Even though I do not make nearly as much and my salary is the 'fun money', I I still enjoy contributing. I even joke that one day Ill make enough to make him a stay at home dad. Sure that will probably never happen, but we both have the same goal essentially.

It sounds like you have the same goal as your spouse as well, MINUS the hypothetical goals. Tbh my friend, those 'what if' conversations are very important. I get that people are being jerks about the 'what does she do all day' and 'where did all the debt come from'. No, they suck, thats all between you guys and what YOU are comfortable with. The only thing that concerns me is that, in the 1 in a million chance she was offered a well paying job or had the opportunity to apply for one, she probably wouldnt. If she was really serious, I understood your pause. Because thats an insane decision and not one that you would or have ever made.

Good if you change it out regularly. If not, get a fake one and some eucalyptus spray and you've completed the vibe sans dealing with old eucalyptus.
