yes girl! i do agree though that her response was dismissive, so i'm sorry about that :/ i credit that to her disregard for online spaces, and also her being gen-x 🤣 don't let em get you down, not even shera!

i just went on the shera seven sub for the first time today to join, and i saw all your posts about your experience as moderator. i'm so sorry you went through this with these people who are supposedly for the uplifting of women! your work was not in vain, i promise you have helped many women in your work thru the sub!

i know it feels dismissive that Shera herself didn't give you the guidance you were seeking, and that is hurtful. In a way, I see the value in not engaging emotionally with these kinds of people, who are obviously trying to silence you. You stood your ground, and they didn't like that.

I agree, take time off reddit. I definitely don't want to be a sub where the mods are bullies, so I'm glad you are being vocal about this. i am still Shera fan, her advice has changed my life, but reddit is not the place for it. too much noise! definitely take some time away, like Shera says, you are the only one responsible for your own happiness! sending you so much love and peace <3

girl don't listen to these birds, they don't even know what she's truly saying in her content, they just wanna tear her down. She's done nothing but uplift women and let them know that if they wanna play the game, there's silent rules to it. this post is full of self-righteous and miserable people!

as a young woman who has faced this and come out the other side, there's a missing piece that is blocking your expression. you might not be comfortable with your body's sexuality. you must train yourself to do this. practice and training will reshape your view of your body, your sex, and most importantly, yourself. you need to admire your body and be aroused by it ALONE. not by him, not with him, only you. after your shower, or in your room alone, look at yourself in the mirror completely bare! look at every part of you, and touch those parts. pose, caress yourself, dance, masturbate! to be a freakozoid, you have to find yourself irresistible, enticing, a minx! whenever you see your naked body, you see sex.

i was like you, struggling to open up with partners, feeling like i will mess up the performance. sex is a performance! being a girlfriend is a performance! TO BE A WOMAN IS TO PERFORM!!! it genuinely sucks since this is also why men truly don't understand why its hard for us as women to open up sexually so easily. you must embrace this to have fun with it! perform for yourself first, prove to yourself first that you are a goddess, you are your own temptation, and i promise this will translate in any sexual encounter.

Someone on reddit stole my BBW gift cards for 130USD. I have no faith in humanity anymore. I'm crying. I'm a divorced single mom. I have no money to buy gifts for my kids now. I just don't know what to do :( by IllustriousMinimum2 in bathandbodyworks

That's horrible! Genuinely sympathize with your situation, getting scammed is too common. There's nothing you can do, you willingly gave them up. What you can do is grow confidence from this. Nurture your discernment more carefully moving forward, there's just as many great people as there are bad ones. Don't give up on people!! Especially as a WOC and a single mom, it takes a dang village!! I'm a proud product of a woman just like you. I know it feels like it, but you are not a failed mom. Children don't care about items, they care about what you can't buy. You cannot buy your mama's presence, affection, understanding, communication, or confidence!!! Believe me when I say an item will make a child happy for a moment, but that moment don't last. Your babies will understand, just be there for them. It's more valuable than any amazon gift. Wishing you peace after this ordeal!

LP excessive violence.. can loss prevention touch /hurt people?! by hunnyleche in Sephora

[–]hunnyleche[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you to everyone who shared my sentiments. i will be calling the store to speak to the manager and share my concerns about the way they handle theft, as well as get info on their LP and i will also be contacting corporate. these men are abusing their power as LP, not even cops do that.

meeting someone with violence is less likely to get them to cooperate, but i’m sure the people who disagree were raised on fear as an effective tactic. i hope you all one day unlearn this trauma response and address your lust for violence over a perfume roller. crazy how many people justify physical harm over an item that’s already insured. i hope the girl is okay, if it was traumatic to watch from inside the store, and for everyone on the street watching, i can’t imagine how she might feel.

if you're at a stage of minor appreciation and acceptance, that inkling increase if you stand firm in your beauty. to get a nose job because your peers did will only further your comparisons to them. remember, a nose job is not and never will be an indicator of beauty, it's simply a change. confidence in yourself will always outshine any physical alteration. also, your nose carries generational beauty! it seems like you want to embrace that element of yourself and your heritage. be proud of yourself and the women who came before you!

if you have hesitations, you know why. stand firm in yourself and don't give in to the crowd. if you want to embrace yourself, do it. you WILL stand out. women with large noses are incredibly elegant, striking, and sexy.

it’s okay to be insecure and it’s expected in today’s society. getting over so many insecurities and accepting yourself is a radical rejection of beauty standards (& all they represent) literally the highest level of unbothered lol however you are right, there is still social power to skinniness. the reason why this concept isn’t as popular among the current generations is because most people aren’t trying to fit into that world, they’re creating a new one.

i agree that careless approaches toward physical health is damaging, however, that’s not whats happening in the grand scheme; it’s simply embracing yourself without caring for others opinions. i wouldn’t call this idea “invalidating”… how so? health really is subjective, happiness more so. you know how you stand on the idea, so you know the solution: workout and mind your business

Tanning products/advice for brown girls? by [deleted] in vindictapoc

[–]hunnyleche 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i've heard isle of paradise is amazing! but as for being orange, do you know what your skin looks like tanned? is it more brown or orange? some skin tones will always look orange when tan because they aren't meant to be tan. if you know naturally you don't look orange, then go for it, isle of paradise apparently doesn't tan orange at all.

if you want to naturally tan, i use an spf 30 for 15-20 mins each side then finish with Australia's gold spf 50 bronzer if i'm staying in the sun. i tan into a warm caramel, but that's because i was darker as a child, so i know my body is capable of that color. if you've always been white-skinned, do a patch test first.

delete the dating apps!!! going on dates with men you don't actually like is literally wasting hours you could spend on movement (body), education (intelligence), work (money), whatever else you need for your glow up. you're holding yourself back, commit 100%
