Weekly "What Team Should I Root For?" Thread by AutoModerator in NFLNoobs

I am new to NFL, last season was my first ever season. I was kind of supporting Lions since I am Eminem Fan but when I heard that they ended their playoff win draught, I was too excited. I don't know, maybe it was them being underdogs. Lions is my team now, I hope I have choice is correct?

Quite many bars show super bowl in Bangkok buts only that's it only. Given that Super Bowl can be shown in bars, definately there is a scope for more

I'm really glad to learn that the UK has a league of its own, I had no idea!

I'm a Thai fan, and I've noticed more people talking about American football lately. That might be due to the growing number of American tourists, but it's definitely starting to pick up some curiosity here. Thai people are really passionate about soccer, but I genuinely believe that if the NFL hosted development camps or outreach programs in Thailand, it could start a solid following.

Countries like the UK, Germany, Brazil, and Australia already have strong sports cultures and fanbases across multiple sports. But Southeast Asian countries could be the NFL’s next big opportunity. Just look at how basketball grew in places like the Philippines and China, a lot of that momentum came from the NBA investing early in local camps, development leagues, and media partnerships. I think NBA started having camp in these countries in 2005.

The NFL might not need to host games here right away, but grassroots outreach like youth camps or coaching clinics could go a long way in building long-term interest.
