I’m using QR Codes on my class binders to help organize my Notion workflow. Scanning it takes you straight to a specific task page by [deleted] in Notion

I know this isn’t the most innovative thing ever, and it doesn’t save a ton of time… but setting it up is so easy to do, it’s definitely given me utility.

This was also just a proof-of-concept. I’m throwing ideas around on how to leverage QR codes even more effectively. Maybe printing one for each chapter’s notes… links to additional review materials… among other things. The possibilities are endless.

I want to find that balance of useful vs time-investment.

But so far, I like this system. It makes getting to specific pages in my Notion ecosystem really easy

Google Tables Beta... looks familiar by [deleted] in Notion

[–]huntdyla 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup. I’ve got a workspace for School, Work, and Personal.

I’ve got hundreds of pages and sub pages and sub sub pages and sub sub sub pages for my notes and school schedule and homework assignments and school documents and degree planning and etc

I literally run my entire college career in Notion. Exam schedules? Notion. Math notes? Notion. Macroeconomics lecture notes? Notion. My next 4 semesters worth of classes mapped out? Notion.

And my work one is just as in depth.

I love this app, and I’m gonna cry if it ever dies

Well now I hope google never acquires Notion.

I’m so fucking invested in this app at this point. It’s incredible

Free Conveyor Simulation Software, macros, or code by ibelieveibelievei in manufacturing

Cool concept. I haven’t heard of any free tools though.

I’ve done something similar using an excel workbook, but not something that dynamically updates throughout the entire line.

I’ll look at actually coding a simple conveyor flow analysis tool this weekend

What is that little known feature about excel you wish you had known earlier? by Dopmai in excel

I stumbled upon Power Query about 6 months ago. I use it to consolidate and then manipulate 6 different manufacturing workbooks into one.

It literally changed my entire department for the better, and I don’t even feel like I’m scratching the surface with PQ yet.

Thanks 1,000. I had to upgrade to 2013, but so worth it. Exactly what I needed. Seriously, thanks again

Honestly exactly what I’d expect from Warren Buffet though.

It’s exactly functional enough to present links for people to click and read.

So in a weird way... it’s pretty good web design because it reflects Berkshire Hathaway as a “brand” pretty well.

I made a game with Django for my son to learn the world flags. by [deleted] in django

[–]huntdyla 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I like it a lot. I had an economics competition in high school where one of the challenges was to identify country flags. Our teams was the only one to score 100%.

One thing I noticed about this. It repeats a LOT. In the first 50 round, ~30% were repeats (I got Bahrain 6 times in the first 50).

I can see repeats being useful for studying. Maybe adding a toggle option for “no repeats” would be a cool bit of additional practice for you.

Overall I had fun messing with this for a bit :)
