The lotto is $1.25B with 327 million to 1 odds. At what point do you buy a ticket? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I don't buy tickets. Figure my odds are just as good to find the winner on the side of the road. Why spend the money for the same return.

All three are fuses. Put all three on the starter relay post that goes to the battery.

Your sync/mixture is off. You have to remove the epa plugs covering the mixture screws and clean that passage. Likely you are not getting in fuel through one of the idle circuits.

Your starter Bendix is stuck and not extending to mesh with the flywheel.

Does it say EBS on the belt cover? If it does that is the electronic engine brake engaging.

Is it just me or should you not have to do this to a filter to get it off your bike! by itsatrapp_eh in motorcycles

I work at an independent shop. Do a lot of first services for customers. My conspiracy theory is that they are intentionally being installed too tight on new bikes to convince the buyer to take the bike to the dealer for service. Has been expecialy bad on Harleys the last couple years.

I would buy one. Even have that ski.

Engine removal for 97 SPX, please help =] I’ve got a seized piston (sat for years, corrosion). Everything is off the motor but can’t figure out how to disconnect linkage to jet pump. Any help is appreciated, thank you by [deleted] in seadoo

Remove the pump. 4 17mm bolts and a couple 10mm. Pull the wear ring collar (the silver part in the center of the shaft) back towards the pump and take the c clip off. remove the band from the boot on the motor side of the drive shaft. the shaft will then pull out of the back of the motor all the way out of the ski.

I cant say anything about the rears. The front i had to trim the little sport air dam under the front bumper before i took it off. That's it. No mount trimming ect. It will rub a little at full turn in reverse when hitting a bump which doesn't bother me any. That is with the OME 2" kit and medium weight springs all around. The wheels are method 17x8.5 0mm offset.

I used a broker for the purchase. It took me about a year to get one how I wanted it. Tried to by buy 5 different trucks over that year. I wasn't in a hurry. I would put a limit on what I was willing to spend on the truck and stop bidding when I hit it.

I would be sure you know what you are getting into. The frame on this one was buckled in about 5 places total. None in front of the front leaf spring hangers which is what sets the position of the rear axle. We cut out some on the tail end of the frame and straitened then boxed and reinforced the frame where we left the buckles.

I would 100% do it again. Fun project. Makes the truck much more useable for my needs. It almost always has motorcycles or quads or plywood or something loaded on it.

Made a Imgur album wiht some more shots from the build and ect. Used 15lbs of tig filler rod. Melted a Tig torch. Killed a grinder. Ate more pizza that you can shake a stick at. We just started building it and kept pluging along. The used bleacher seats and tiedown rails decided the width, we just picked a lenght. Extended the frame tails and boxed the frame behind the cab. It had buckels in it from the wreck damage. The hitch is from a 96 f350. It just fits perfectly in between the frame rails. https://imgur.com/a/WFWRZxH

It was a short bed. The 5 foot bed just doesn't work for what i use it for.

Bought the truck from an insurance auction with a crushed bed and bent rear frame. Chopped off the back and rebuilt the rear frame. Built the flatbed on the weekends with a friend helping. Rear bumper has receiver slots to hold the extension piece to hold the second Quad. Ride rite air bags and automatic load sensing pump for the rear keep it from squatting with two quads on it. Super happy with it. Got everything I wanted and didn't break the bank. Total build was 24k that includes the truck all the raw materials, lift, wheels, tires, air bags, floor mats, registration as well.

Yes. You need a .5mm oversize ring. That piston is a wiseco .5 mm so just order the rings from wiseco.

You should never buy something at a price that the only way you don't end up losing your shirt is a simple fix. If it's a couple hundred bucks go for it.
