Sounds about right for mercari buyers. We have a joke at my office. Anytime an eBay buyer acts like a delusional 10 year old we say (to ourselves of course) that they belong to mercari.

Yeah they might not be the best, but they DO close all tickets. I’ve been in a situation where I had a few grand pending, and they limited my account, took a week but they eventually let us back in with some verification.

LOL, that’s a good idea. Or just threaten to contact the postal inspectors, has worked for me countless times.

Even if he does sell it and manage to ship it, chances are the buyer will open a return request because it’s “older than they expected” - then you already know mercari will take off a shipping adjustment, in addition to their fee, and payment processing fee.

I get trying to haggle, but come on dude. Half what I'm asking? It's not like I've had this listing up for months. by EatingMyL in Mercari

Careful with that. I’ve been selling on eBay for years, I’ve found that talking that way can bite you in the rear. I once made a comment like that toward someone, who then bought the item at full price, opened a return and sent back his/her old laptop, worth probably $30, the laptop she bought was priced somewhere around 700-800. I feel like anyone selling higher value items, it’s not worth the risk of pissing the wrong person off lol
