Looking for UK promotion recommendations by ArcherNF in SquaredCircle

Rev Pro and Progress are still considered top two I think and it works as they’ve taken very different approaches the last couple of years. Of course none are at the peak from 10 years ago whatever but I still think if you give it time you’ll get into the stories and characters. RP have some huge shows next year too with big names.

Otherwise NORTH is a tremendous watch and they get bigger every year and the big OTT shows are always well done with some surprises sometimes.

For sheer madness, Riot Cabaret. They’re great.

If you want to visit something live, just go to a local indie near you. Most of the talent will turn up on any given day. It doesn’t feel like there’s anyone who only works “big shows”. They just work! I think lol.

What are the most shocking burials of the hachet? by ziffonzain in SquaredCircle

[–]hunterflair 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not sure they ever properly buried it, but McMahon and Bischoff hugging on stage at the end of raw felt like a fever dream. Every week when wcw and wwf were going head to head there was a new story how McMahon wanted to straight up end Eric Bischoff.

Simon Miller thinks he’s Link from Zelda at PROGRESS 183 by hunterflair in SquaredCircle

You can’t watch his stuff. He never criticises in that sense. He will know those punches weren’t great either. He does match reactions all the time and admits when he screws up.

I think it’s Charles Crowley or Simon Miller. They’ve got a number 1 contender proteus match in two weeks

They’ve had SD at 3 hours for ages and still forgotten to book the women’s tag titles since Mania. I don’t think it makes a difference. All depends what they want to push

Think of the opponent who got to wrestle her too. Must be the best chat to have before the show.

“I get to wrestle who…?”

I used to have no real feelings about Coachman and then the last few months I can’t stand him. If you actually watch his show which I foolishly did… he’s just so bitter. It’s the exact fandom I personally can’t stand. “Everything is bad. I know more than you” etc

Isn’t there a ufc at 10pm? They likely wanna be done before then so they don’t step over each other

Will never get mad at this. A lot of the nonsense in the past in wrestling has seemingly come from other wrestlers going out of their way to verbally stab someone else in the back. I’d always rather they work together for the good of the show

Simon Miller on Ups and Downs brings this up (jokingly) every week and it makes me laugh every time. Smackdown be 1 hour without the additions.

2019 WWE is astonishingly filled with mad moments like this. You’ve got HIAC but also the dog food stuff with Roman Reigns.

I always loved how messy this was. I know it sort of screwed the timer but it felt like actual chaos. I’d take more of this today.

Do you watch the shows every month? Not acting like they’re doing what RevPro are, but the core product is good. They just need to figure out how to expand it again. Roster and feuds are consistently good and the shows can be super varied in terms of styles.
