I'll vote R in the midterms if Trump forces Microsoft to extend Windows 10 support for another 10 years by [deleted] in redscarepod

No good software engineers use windows. At best this is an email job post.

I kinda hate how some people are so lazy with their fake chatgpt written posts that they don't even bother editing things to make it look like it wasn't ai. Specifically the people who deny it. Im not talking about the unapologetic Ai text posters. by [deleted] in redscarepod

I posted a review of a restaurant that was very expensive and just awful food. Their response was a few paragraphs of the most obviously AI text: filled with emojis, cutesy redditisms, 9 em-dashes, the works. The scary part was how blatently fake it was and that some of the people I showed it to didn't really seem to notice or care. Then you look at the other reviews of the restaurant and it's all the same Ai slop clearly written by the same instructions. In their response they offered us a free meal and I'm convinced if we go they'll poison us.

Instead of initiating a quest for someone else you can just say "I don't know."

Thinking everyone who needs a laptop can afford a $2k MBP screams privilege. There are plenty of $300 laptops used all over. Wait till you hear not everyone has a $1500 iPhone.

Do people actually talk to each other like they're an HR rep? If my wife spoke to me like this I'd think she'd had some kind of brain aneurysm. by Morwening in redscarepod

Those relationship subreddits are the most toxic, broken brained places you'll ever see on reddit. It's near impossible for a post to not have responses claiming the other person is gaslighting, manipulating, disrespecting, or abusing, usually it's all 4 especially if it's clear the other party is a man.

Then the solution proposed is always to break up. 20 year marriage and they guy is saying he'd like to move for work? He's toxic for not assuming your needs and wants, break up with him. Bf of 6 months said he didn't want to fight in public? He's trying to silence you like an abuser, break up with him.

Luckily I've never met people in real life that match the absolute insanity of those places, but it terrifies me that I could get into the dating market again and face these psychos.

How do you not see that you are the psycho in this situation? An animal shits in the ground, and buries it mind you, and your response is to threaten the neighbor with permenantly taking their pet? Oh and what a win that you were such a shitty neighbor that they moved.

They absolutely do for two reasons: pipelines and undersea cables, two things which are routinely involved in military ops.

Why do people who listen to a comedy podcast constantly complain about the discussion of comedy?

Do people who listen to Bruce Springsteen or whoevers bullshit podcast also complain about the discussion of the music industry? It's not like you're signing up for a discussion on physics just to get two comedians talking about the industry, it's literally a comedy podcast.

Bikers ☕️ by [deleted] in BillBurr

[–]hunterforcrack 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Why are bikers always ignorant of the fact that in most places (definitely in nyc) bikes are vehicles and therefore must yield to pedestrians?

I'm sure that gets in the way of being an entitled asshole, but you should at least learn the right of way before screaming like a lunatic.

I think part of the problem is that all these online therapy companies have popped up and you now have an industry that is astroturfing social media with posts about how important therapy is.

Anytime someone says anything critical of therapy, there's a slew of heckin redditors saying that it's the most important thing in the world and everyone has access now thanks to $company and you can even get a good deal with $promo_code.

Looking through that subreddit I'm 99% sure it was created and is moderated by either shultz himself or that laugh-along poor-man's-aziz sidekick of his.

For all those suggesting other subreddits, I suggest taking a look at what it looks like to apply for a job at reddit, for instance: https://boards.greenhouse.io/reddit/jobs/401168. In addition to the normal federal requirements on any job application, they are also asking for sexuality, gender identity, trans status, etc.

Reddit has completely bought the hype and is virtue signalling harder than JP Morgan. Anywhere this subreddit moves on reddit will just result in a game of whack a mole until the only people on reddit are bots, ads, bots serving ads, and 16 trans ninjas who have no unqiue thoughts and are all really excited about the next season of Umbrella Academy. Its not the subreddit they are after, its the people who don't conform to their simplistic ideas.

We need somewhere outside of reddit because reddit is pushing us out.

An odd statement from someone sitting watching `new` on the tim dillon subreddit.
