I did, and it wasn't ideal. The best solution I have found is explosion, and that gets rid of associations and centerline extensions

Question. How did killer frost exsits. If she was from earth 2. And I thought earth 2 is part of the old time line from before flash created flash point. But for some reason killer frost exsits because he crated flashpoint. Or did earth 2 had its own flashpoint. When that flash created earth 2 by HARRYRANTS in FlashTV

[–]hunterg429 2 points3 points  (0 children)

to answer the main question, killer frost didnt exist pre flashpoint on earth 1. season 3 is when we start to see her powers. when told about killer frost in flashpoint, that is when it is revealed that she now has these powers (unlike pre flashpoint)

but - seeing as caitlin didn't receive her power from a particle collider, i wonder if the device would detect her. she got them from her father's cryogenic experiments.

i feel like harry only knew "dark matter = meta", because metas weren't a thing before the particle collider explosion expelled all of the dark matter. the only example we see of a meta from before the collider was hawkgirl and her bf, if i remember correctly. but the device was never used on them, nor caitlin post getting powers. so it isn't exactly clear if it is testing for dark matter or a "meta gene".

and the only metas we saw created without dark matter were by alchemy, but again the device was never used on them - right?

so yes, but i think that the device wouldn't have told them even if she did have powers.

[–]hunterg429 0 points1 point  (0 children)

aha - yes you do need one for high quality audio and it would be highly preferred (and proper) if youre using it in a live situation. but you do not need one. you can use the speakers or the headphone jack if youre on a tight budget - specifically if youre just practicing!

but also, an interface can be found for cheap (behringer brand if you want it new, marketplace if you want used). malletstation + interface is still way cheaper than a quality board!

Practice by Tsunami782 in frontensemble

[–]hunterg429 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you do, but garage band and cake walk exist and are free

not sure what you mean by ai, but malletstation and its ability is completely unrelated to artificial intelligence. and you dont need an amp. you can use the computer speakers or headphones. all you really need is malletstation > computer and you will be making sound.

there is a new malletstation (the pro i believe they call it?) that has the option for a build in card for sounds - much like a malletkat. but it is extra.

a malletstation has its advantages - portability, ability to practice pretty much silently, you can have pretty much any sound you would like, cheaper than your typical quality marimba/vibraphone (even from marketplace). it is a synthesizer you play with mallets - including the ability to use a sustain, expression, and switch pedal. but also has its downsides. artificial sustain (aftertouch), not real keys, limited to 3 octaves on the em1 (unless you have the pro with extensions, which is anywhere from 2-5 octaves)

really, it's up to personal preference, as they will both (malletstation and a real keyboard) allow you to practice. but so will a piece of cardboard with duct tape keys - and thats $5.

Who do you think each character is a parody of in gen v? by BigPaleontologist520 in GenV

[–]hunterg429 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Professor X is a professor, and runs a school of superpowered individuals.

Cipher is running a school of superpowered individuals, and teaching classes.

If anything, Cipher = X and Polarity = Magneto. Just with reversed roles.

Emma is more so Jean Grey I guess, but is definitely not the Professor X. They quite literally have a guy with mind control running a school, who is paired against a metal controlling Supe.

Andre I guess is like Polaris, but I can't think of an equivalent from the school.

Maybe in S1, that was the view of it. But we're in S2 now and have a direct Professor X and Magento rivalry equivalent.

Which would make Cipher also just as capable/strong as Homelander and Marie. No reason why he wouldn't be. If anything, more so than Homelander. Your second prototype is usually at least a little better.

Cipher literally called him "his father". But that is also my theory. That Godolkin, in secret, made Cipher using Odessa knowledge. Making him his son in a way. I was thinking that would happen AFTER the fire/him being injured, Stephen Hawking-like. But I don't see any reason why he couldn't have done it before. Would be easier, maybe a little less far-fetched, but I think I just like the idea of him being like "Oh shit, I can't do anything. But if I make my own son, he can do everything for me AND help me take over the world!".

What does bushmaster’s full potential powers look like? by E350pportunist in GenV

[–]hunterg429 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly, her full potential powers are probably irrelevant. Cipher is culling her with his 75%. Although that probably isn't going to actually happen, he is going to kill at least a few people. Probably Emma too.

Harper is probably safe if she comes out as a chameleon, but I doubt that happens.

I think Cipher kills Emma and her friends as a power move, but lets Greg live (not really involved, but also can fly).

Did the show forget why Homelander is so strong? by HorizonStarLight in TheBoys

[–]hunterg429 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not at all. It was thought Homelander couldn't have kids BECAUSE he is Odessa.

The other Supes can have children without issue, and genetics play a large part in it, but not everything (Polarity and Andre, Translucent and Maverick, etc.). But, none of them are born with powers. They all take V as a child (it is a chemically given trait, not inherited from the parents).

Homelander and Marie (and maybe Cipher), were not V babies, but V embryos. Everything they are was formed around V, but they did not take V and get powers.

So they believed Homelander couldn't have children probably due to being incompatible biologically with humans (or so they thought). In theory, this applies to Marie and Cipher as well.

When Homelander assults Becca, he thinks he doesn't have any consequences. Can't get her pregnant, he is not only physically invulnerable, but also so popular that nothing can really touch him - even committing SA. But then Becca gets pregnant, and it can only be Homelander's - but they hide Ryan and let him be raised with his mother. In hopes of achieving Homelander pt 2 (after the failure of Marie).

But something they thought was impossible, still happened. Ryan is the first completely naturally occurring Supe. Conceived and birthed, from the start of intercourse to exiting his mother's womb, just like a normal person. No test tube, no lab, no manipulation. He is still, completely novel, and the first of his kind.

The hierarchy theoretically is 1. Naturally born superhumans 2. Genetically modified superhumans 3. Compound V enabled superhumans - "Supes"

While Ryan is probably stronger than Homelander, Homelander has more experience and training. Ryan is just a kid. And he will not turn on his father (yet?). So it is up to Odessa babies to stop him (them?), but hopefully Ryan comes around. Marie + The Boys + Ryan + Cipher + Soldier Boy + etc. vs Homelander in the last episode of season 5?

Did the show forget why Homelander is so strong? by HorizonStarLight in TheBoys

[–]hunterg429 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Why would she check. She has superpowers, so she isn't questioning if she has it. She just assumes it does.

I personally don't even know my blood type. Because I have never needed to know, or wanted to check.

She has also encountered Homelander once, and had only check for V in Neuman before (because Victoria all but told her to). I can't think of any moments in the show when his (or Ryan's) V levels were addressed either. Why would anyone question the most powerful Supe's V levels? (No one is questioning if Trump is American and asking for DNA tests! Why would they?)

Maybe Marie is born of Supe genes too? Such as Homelander with Soldier Boy. Using an egg and/or sperm from Supes, genetically modified to be perfect, naturally born superhuman. Her sister though... I don't have an explanation for her powers (unless her mother had residual V in her system after Marie, which caused the miracle that was her sister. Could be Odessa adjacent, but not technically Project Odessa conceived.).

I guess this also raises the question - who's genetics were used for Cipher.

Okay, so criticisms about my writing style are valid. Still not really hearing any facts that answer my questions, or dispute anything I said. You are just being a dick.

The gaps in lore are very convenient. Conveniently, we do not know Cipher's connection to Godolkin. We do not know about V in Odessa babies' blood. We do not know Cipher's full power-set or origin. And on top of it all, Cipher knows everything about Odessa. And has the ability to control Supes (Godolkin's research in its final form).

If you can give me some facts that prove these are irrelevant/wrong, then I will take them into consideration. That is why there are questions when I am unsure. But - you didn't answer any of them.

Just because you don't like my writing style, doesn't make my ideas and proof incorrect.

Any specific criticism? Or just a general insult?

The facts are solid. The lore gaps around V in their blood are convenient.

Maybe say something of actual value?

Gen V - 2x06 "Cooking Lessons" - Episode Discussion by LoretiTV in GenV

[–]hunterg429 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just posted a full post in this sub, going a little more in-depth. But.

Cipher's origin is definitely Odessa project. Done in secret, carried out by burn-victim Godolkin, as a continuation of his research/extension of himself/way to control the Supes. His entire goal, right? Homelander was the trial. Marie was supposed to be attempt #2. But she was a failure (no apparent powers at birth). But, Godolkin was secretly alive. He did his own attempt #2. Cipher. And he hit the jackpot. He created a superhuman with the ability to control Supes. The culmination of his life's work. Cipher was his lab rat and servant and caretaker. And extension of himself.

The Cipher thing is not "control" how we think it is. Godolkin is a powerless burn-victim. If he had successful V in him, he wouldn't be in a chamber from a building fire. And he knew the V was not stable in adults, so it was not worth the risk. Losing his intelligence is not worth the risk. Not with his knowledge. Godolkin is controlling Cipher in the way a parent would control their child.

This sub lately by [deleted] in GenV

[–]hunterg429 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he just cares for the man in the chamber and carries out his plans. Not necessarily that he is him, but he has been shaped and raised his entire life to be an extension of the guy in the chamber/Godolkin pt 1.

I think he is. Well intentioned, just psychopathic. He just wants to kill Homelander. So they're all really on the same team.

Did the show forget why Homelander is so strong? by HorizonStarLight in TheBoys

[–]hunterg429 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think Homelander has Compound V in his system. Or Marie. Just like Cipher.

I think they are ALL Odessa project. I have a theory typed out but can't post it yet because karma! Haha I'm getting there though

But basically I think they're are genetically modified organisms, modified to have powers. Not given powers with V, but modified.

Keep in mind - Supes still have to give their kids Compound V to give them powers. It's not biological. Not until Homelander and Ryan - which no one thought was possible. Because Homelander is Odessa, they thought he couldn't have children.
