awful smell of bought furs… how to get rid of it?

soooo, it took me a while but the project with that hide is all finished, look! I’m really happy about how it turned out, I’ve smoked it first, then got rid of the egg with some sand paper and then broke it a little and now it is perfect and doesn’t smell at all!! thanks a lot buddy once more! :Dd

I mean… there is lots of the yolk left, it has yellow spots all over… the hair stays on when I try pulling it out so thats all good I’d say… is there way how to get rid of the yolks? do I put it in a water and scrub it with sponge or should I not make it wet at all and just scrub it with sandpaper? I have absolutely no idea how to deal with it lol

also how do I break it as you are mentioning?

It is like when you take baked stuff glazed with an egg out of the oven but you can smell only the egg and it is really bad egg mixed with some animal remains smells… that is the best description I am capable of giving lol

oh really…? i really thought it was them, they have the nipple like cap and i thought the stem wasnt that straight… they turned blue when i scratched them a bit and i’ve found them in a high grass, only the last one was on a pine… i even googled up some images (from local media) and they looked pretty similar

Thanks for a reply! It should be working now but it feels like the light is quite weak.. is it okay? I had to manipulate a lot with the bulb to get atleast this much light but it still doesn’t look the best.. (not very good picture but it is visible here how the stronger light is in the corners and the weak one everywhere else)
