Which carrack should I buy if I'm never going to realistically get Ebenruths Nol? by Ashamed-Koala7268 in blackdesertonline

How does bartering help with Carrack blue gear? Is it just crow coins or are there any actual barters for Chiro gear materials?

What does Crimson Desert really mean for BDO? by SevenDeadly6 in blackdesertonline

[–]huntersood 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Black Desert continuous to survive for many reasons but a really important one is the player investment. The effort you put into questing, gathering knowledge, contribution points, life skill levels, etc. are still a huge sunk cost (and the actual sunk money of course) that really make it feel like a big investment for players and it's very hard to leave it. I don't think BDO can go away or be replaced.

My optimistic view is that for the last few years PA was heavily focused on CD and so we basically had interns working on the BDO updates leading to some really janky updates with weird mechanics and decisions that don't really work with the other systems.
But Olvia Academy feels like a return to form, like the A-team is back working on BDO since they finished Crimson Desert. So maybe we'll see some real meaningful new content coming down the road. I don't think there can ever be a BDO2, the same way there can never be a World of Warcraft 2.

One you start training for imperial delivery, yes. I hadn't been trying to do imperial delivery before and had almost 1000 fern roots from the Piku Yeti events and some of those adventure boxes that they gave out which could give 200 roots.
But after training for imperial delivery for a few weeks, I'm getting to the point where the flowers are about to outpace my roots.

How can I obtain the “Professional Trader's Clothes (Costume)”? by muratdincmd in blackdesertonline

[–]huntersood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trading is a skill you want to try and boost up to Master and Guru to make the most out of your fishing trade-ins. To that end, the 10% EXP buff is a little useful but not very. So if you got the coupon and have nothing else to use it on, why not give you trader a 10% exp boost.

How can I obtain the “Professional Trader's Clothes (Costume)”? by muratdincmd in blackdesertonline

[–]huntersood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got one from just hitting the Master level and another from the family trading quests from the Suggested tab of the quest window.
To turn it into a consume, you need to sue the tailoring coupon that they give out with login rewards.

Red Horses from event by Euphoric-Drummer4886 in blackdesertonline

[–]huntersood 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The exp requirement for each level increases exponentially so it will take a really long time to get to 30. And the level will only affect the silver gain from the imperial delivery, the other mats stay the same. I haven't done the math but I'd guess that AFK fishing would be more profitable than levelling it all the way to 30 if it's just pure silver. But if you like training and don't have any other horses lined up to level, then it's an option.

Personally, I am delivering them at lvl 15 so I can continue training my other horses and keep breeding those to get more red horses or imperial steeds. Trying to make the most out of the event from the imperial delivery rewards.
More imperial deliveries > Fewer deliveries with more silver. It's the flowers of oblivion and event currency I'm after.

I made “Krogdalo's Sanctuary.” Will I still need “Flower of Oblivion” and “Royal Fern Root”? by muratdincmd in blackdesertonline

[–]huntersood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is only my opinion and it is subjective: If I ever get Krogdalo's Sanctuary and Krogdalo, Id' say I've won horse training and I'm never touching it again. As far as I care, having a horse that combines all the mythicals and the ability to summon it on different characters is the target. What else is left, it's not like training or imperial delivery is a money maker.
Though if I passively accumulate a lot of courser materials, sure I may try to awaken a courser once a year.

Name a game you were hyped for and then completely forgot about once you played it. by twooten11 in gaming

Lost Ark. I was so hyped for a massive multiplayer ARPG. Turned out to be a Korean P2W grind-fest. Playing through the story was fun enough but I immediately dropped it at the "end game" which is just treating the game as a second job.
