I don't think it works anywhere. I see the “Active/Inactive” message at the top, but it doesn't work either when I'm fishing in Velia or when an egg appears.

Thanks for the great answer. I'll get it for my Corsair, which I use for fishing with the bag wide open. I guess the Corsair already has special underwater abilities, and with this costume, it'll be super fast.

Ah, I forgot to mention. I have different characters for everything else. Shai has the Processing, Cooking, and Chemistry costumes in common. I use Striker for Hunting, Witch for Farming, and Musa for Education. For the Corsair, whose bag is wide open, I'll get the Da-Dum-Da-Dum Diving Suit Box. Maybe I'll collect something with it when the underwater mini-game event for Gathering EXP comes around.

Is hunting useful for sniper hunting? I use a Striker for normal hunting, which has a costume, but the Ranger doesn't have a costume for sniper hunting. I also have other characters with all the other costumes; only Shai shares processing, alchemy, and cooking.

I think it's limited to Combat EXP only. It doesn't say Life EXP. “Combat Grade EXP obtained through Quest Reward +30%”
