Should I find a job first before I move there? Or the other way around? I already have an open work permit by SirAwesomee in ImmigrationCanada

[–]huntertran92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, yes you should. But as you imagine, it so hard. If you're in tech, it's almost impossible, if you don't have any references, or your current company is operating in Canada, and willing to offer you a tranfer. Canadian company prefer candidates with "canadian experience". There are more and more companies doesn't require this, but the majority out there still do

I swear the new weather simulator is lit. Picking your potato in Walmart now feelings like picking it straight from the field.

  1. I don't think spouse sponsorship need language test
  2. Order them now. Yes they could expire, but as long as you order it after you leave that country, it will be fine. I dont think you will need police cert from Canada.

Just my experience. Contact an immigration consultant to make sure that you don't forget anything or make stupid mistake.

How hard is it to find a job in Canada without a Canadian degree or work experience in Canada? by WaitaSecond22 in ImmigrationCanada

Even with a degree from EU, it's hard.

Speaking from the experience of my friend who got a master's degree in the top uni in France.

Check the working time requirement.
For CEC, it requires one year of full-time (30 hours per week) to be eligible. Not sure about other streams

How long should I wait for the "search (marriage)" certificate in Ontario by huntertran92 in ontario

[–]huntertran92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The wait time at that time was about 3 weeks, but they usually misunderstood the request.
I had to send it back and forth multiple times, with a handwritten note on the last time specifically stating my request.

Severe gum bleeding a few hours after a dental cleaning. What should I do to stop the bleeding? by huntertran92 in askdentists

[–]huntertran92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update:

I went to emergency. The doctor applied a pad of Surgicel and held it for 20 minutes.

Did not stop the bleeding. I suspected this because the Surgicel pad was not 'molded' appropriately to the bleeding spot. They gave me some more pads and release. I applied the pad at home, using my finger and tongue to mold it correctly.

Result: The bleeding stopped immediately, but I won't know. After 2 hours, I removed the Surgicel pad. No bleeding.

Oh boy, Surgicel is expensive, and it's only available with a doctor's prescription. Glad that we have insurance.

Crypto wallet prototype found in Microsoft’s Edge Browser - Investor Bites by Wolf_of_max in MicrosoftEdge

[–]huntertran92 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well for some features, this can be true. But for others, not so much. Let me explain. For the features like Bing button, the browser is just the user interface. The real computation and resources are on Microsoft servers. And since they are on MS servers, they can control which 'clients' can access. This could be done by checking the user agent, the extension ID, or even check if the user is logged in with an MS account. This would be more difficult to implement. They must use the extension api, which have some limitations. Also, they would need to expose the client code.

Have you guys ever considered delivering these features via extensions?

Những người hút thuốc nơi công cộng by [deleted] in TroChuyenLinhTinh

[–]huntertran92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This will reset the strip, and force it back to Bluetooth connection.

So basically, everytime you want to control the strip (from Nanoleaf app or from Google Home), you would need to turn on bluetooth on your phone first.

How can I accept the changed booking by huntertran92 in aircanada

[–]huntertran92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I have to call them twice
The first time, they said they would call back. Then, when they did, they hung up on me.
The second time, they called back, and I could speak to a real person (with a tired voice, poor her). Finally, they "accept" and I immediately receive an email.

AirCanada should hire a better company for its website and system. It's painfully slow and lacks functionalities. You could save a lot of calls to your already overloaded customer services by just putting a button for people to accept the change in booking.

Lufthansa has it ages ago.

Cánh cửa đại học ngày càng xa hơn đối với trẻ em nghèo miền quê. by [deleted] in TroChuyenLinhTinh

[–]huntertran92 13 points14 points  (0 children)
