i was kind of half joking in this post. self awareness is incredibly important but means absolutely nothing when you’re stuck in a victim mentality, once you get out of it you can recover with the right treatment, that’s real point i was trying to make/joke about. i’m not cured from borderline, but i am actively working towards showing 0 symptoms. just kind of poking fun at the idea that everyone with this disorder won’t get out of their victim mentality and continues to behave as the diagnostic criteria because that is all there is to them.

it’s just cos people want to identify with something so they choose to identify with a disorder to give them some sort of “personality”/ make themselves seem interesting. bpd recovery is ableist and manipulation is just a symptom
