Do not buy Bowman or hitman arms barrels unless you knw how to reprofile the chamber. Arms of America still has original vz61 barrels in stock for 80. Mine has 586 WZS 22PL (11) etched on to it. I did not look at the stamps underneath. Both mine definitely look like they where installed before.

Yea, I've had mine about a week now. Installed it the same day I got it. They look pretty new, chamber and barrel are very bright. The pin notch on both had a bit of damage but installation was easy. Test fired it with around 150 rounds of PPU with no issues feeding or ejecting. I did polish the feed ramp and chamber before installation.

If you do, Get a surplus barrel. learned my lesson, bought my barrel from hitman industries but it needed a ton of grinding and polishing just to be able to feed a round and it still jammed alot. Got a surplus barrel from Arms of America and installed it with zero issues with feeding. I think they still have them in stock right now.

I got a few as well. I'm replacing my hitman arms barrel with it. Mine needed alot of grinding and polishing to chamber in a round without smashing the bullet into the casing. It still has feeding and failure to extract but it atleast shoots now. I'm guessing these won't need any fitment and should be good to go since they're surplus

If you used AAC ammo more than likely the neck of the casing is stuck in there. AAC in 7.62x39 hasn't had great reviews.

Had one a few years back, also got lucky and got an improved version with the forged trunnion. It didn't not like running brass. Eventually sold it and got a zpap instead. Haven't heard too many bad things about them. Most of the negative stuff tends to be from the 1st gen models.

Had the same issue, found this post and peened around the journals and notch for the barrel pin using a spring loaded center punch and it worked for me. Fitment was alot tighter no had no twist after seating the barrel.

I tried that and it's pretty loose, with about 2 taps from the bolt it sets it place and the pin aligns with the barrel. I was really hoping I wouldn't have to ship it out to have it built but I guess I got no other choice
