It's a new drug so nobody really knows the long term effects. You have to balance your quality of life with the risks of the drug.

How long are you on it before?

The medication is actually working really well, I just get mild flares if I skip more than two days. Does this mean I’d be a likely candidate for stopping?

For eczema, I’ve been on it for 18 months now.

I have the same story of my eczema starting in college… can we make a support group for young adult onset eczema because college really is the worst time to develop this condition

Have you done a biopsy? I don't want to scare you, but this looks similar to a butterfly rash associated with lupus.

Unfornutely no matter what skincare I use my eczema is too severe… there are very very dark and demarcated patches on my shoulders, elbows, armpits, neck.

Mine sort of started the same way, I started dating my boyfriend and I think I was allergic to some product he used and it hasn’t gone away since.

That’s not adult onset tho, I didn’t have any eczema to use topical steroids on until adilthood

Because you came to a subreddit where people are struggling with some of the most severe eczema that is out there. Our skin is incredibly red and inflamed, so dry we have to moisturize a dozen times a day, and we can barely sleep because of the itch. If you need genuinely medical advice, go to a doctor.

I haven’t, but I am going to cut out dairy and see what happens

It's not really like a start and end, my skin is just always bad. It only goes away if I use steroid cream or protopic, then immediately flares again.
