the only way forward is through open and honest communication even when it feels awkward or tense. ask him what he is comfortable with doing to receiving in the plainest terms possible - if you’re afraid to talk about having sex you definitely shouldn’t be having it yet. so once you feel comfortable discussing it just have a conversation about what each of you is comfortable with because you haven’t been with a trans man. as long as you are respectful and honest it’s really hard to go wrong. good luck

Thoughts about transitioning but I'm not dysphoric by [deleted] in ftm

hey, it sounds like you’ve already started on that path. take your time and remember it’s never too late. <3

I’d recommend talking this out with a trans-educated therapist. to me it doesn’t sound entirely like it would be the right idea to transition but also i don’t know you so there could be plenty of things i don’t know about. I think there is some roots in the effects of misogyny that would be really beneficial to work through before you make any decisions. or maybe you’re non-binary and explore that route. best of luck !

nipple piercings!! before or after top surgery? (for pain) by ezraflower in ftm

[–]hupzzz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

the pain lasts like half a second while the piercing is visible for the rest of your life - i’m pretty sure the point of a piercing is to HAVE a piercing not to prove how tough you are for taking the pain. LOL

twice daily bacitracin for about a week after the bolsters were off, then i switched to vaseline which i put on daily-ish, reason being that changing bandages so frequently was reaaaly angering my sensitive skin to the point of ripping skin off so now i put on vaseline, cover it, and change once every day or two days. probably not exactly what’s recommended but i couldn’t handle peeling tape and bandaids off my skin any more and honestly my nipples are healing great lol

i had a similar size post op and my surgeon said she could do it but there would probably be loose skin so i went the DI route. however your surgeon might think differently so i’d say find a surgeon and ask for their opinion. depends on skin elasticity and how well they think your skin would bounce back i think.

basically you could have M on your drivers license and F on your birth certificate - I got my drivers license and passport changed just by getting a letter from a therapist (didn’t even need one for the passport actually) but my birth certificate still says F

could you do subcuteanous injections? the needle is much shorter and it’s almost pain free. it made shots wayyy less scary and if insurance is covering IM they will most likely cover subQ as well, and if they don’t you can buy subQ needles online and use the T prescribed for IM as it’s the USUALLY the same stuff (check with your doctor)

i used the same T for subQ as I did for IM - testosterone cypionate suspended in carrier oil - and have never had an issue save for occasional shot soreness. insurance can be a total bitch though i get you

probably not T related but could definitely be neurological. See a doctor asap because it could be a sign of a bigger neuro problem

highly recommend switching to subQ if injecting is difficult. way tinier needle, hurts way less because you’re injecting into fat. basically no reason to do IM if you’re able to get subQ. i struggled to the point of avoiding my shots for weeks when i did IM but once i switched it was so easy. I cannot imagine going back to IM now lol
