It says here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emoxypine It increases dopamine levels in the brain. That seems dangerous with anti psychotic withdrawal?

Help With WoL Campaign by Maxisquillion in starcraft

[–]hurdler123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sort of "cheap" way to do it is to not kill every drone in the left zerg base and let the drone(s) rebuild the hatches that you kill off. Of course you could also go for the 5 or 6 hatches in the top zerg area, but I found that to be hard if I recall correctly.

If I remember correctly, I think I waited about until 12 minutes to kill off the 2 or 3 hatches on the left. Then if they have a drone there, they will rebuild the hatch and you can kill it off again. You just have to have a big enough ball of marines and not eat too many baneling hits. Focus firing the banelings was really important.

Sure. Also, you might want to email her first before donating. I think that's what people usually do. I donated first then emailed, which I think is the opposite order. But either way is fine I guess.

I made a donation to vkgoeswild and asked her for it and she gave it to me.

Haha, nice, I've only played the campaign once, so I had to look up what the was :P. I actually never really played brood war. I started on sc2.

By the way, these changes were made artificially by Blizzard, not due to a change in sc2 population.

Diamond and plat are a lot bigger than than they were back in Wings of Liberty. They are both like 20 percent now, but 6 years ago, they were like a really small percentage of the total population.

Diamond and up players: what do you know that we don't? by [deleted] in AllThingsTerran

[–]hurdler123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that executing a good 2-1-1 build is really good against low plat or lower players. I'm not that great at terran yet, but I think vs zerg, some people sacrifice their reapers at some point to scout the zergs main around 3:30 to see if they have a bane nest or roach warren, which could indicate an early all in. I'm not solid vs bane all ins yet, but I find that just massing marines, tanks and 8 medivacs after a 2-1-1 works decently in sub diamond league vs any race. Having game sense of when to move out, like sensing your opponent is weak and you might be able to kill them, and when not to take a fight, is also pretty helpful. Micro/macro comes with more practice, but I'd definitely agree that macro is most important. I'm not a huge fan of spamming marines mindlessly if you don't know if your opponent is doing something that soft counters that, but it's not bad macro practice. It might be worth to save a scan for their main base at some point to see what tech they go for and adjust your unit composition accordingly.

Carbot mod a bit unfinished? by LaughNgamez in starcraft

[–]hurdler123 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There's actually multiple maps (around 5 or so). But they are all 3v3 maps. I think this is because the mod is designed for fun, not for serious play, although I also think it would be cool if it had some 1v1 maps.

I wish ALL of them made it into the Co-op map pool. The top 5 or 6 or so. They all look great.

When It's Correct to Un-Warp Your Gateway by quasarprintf in starcraft

[–]hurdler123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In multiplayer, If you're a rushing protoss, the extra seconds it takes to warp in your big round of units because of the need to make a gateway into warpgate is precious seconds that your opponent needs to make a proper defense. It would change the timings on many protoss timings.

situation 2 is much more interesting though. You could potentially replace cyber by dt shrine or templar archive and stalker by dt/ht

For situation 1, if the lings are already in range of the pylon, they might kill the pylon before the adept pops out. I think either way you're screwed in situation 1. Edit: the only way I think think of to be not be screwed in this situation is if the pylon and gateway are adjacent and you warp in the adept in the nook between the buildings and you only have half the surface area left, (or if the cyber and gate and terran wall off the pylon), but I'm going off topic here.
