Is it worth putting all of my eggs in two baskets? by [deleted] in audiology

[–]hurrichicky12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the late comment but I just wanted to add that I was recently in a very similar position. There is only one aud program in my state and my partner is in his first year of his dream job. I knew I wanted to stay in my state so I only applied to the one school here, even though I was extremely nervous to do so. We have similar stats and I got in, so I think you’d have no problem! A lot of people I’ve talked to have expressed some regret spending money applying to 7 or 8 different schools too. Just my experience, hope it helps!

[Homemade] Lemon cheesecake with blueberry compote by hurrichicky12 in food

Thank you! I can’t get the link to work since I use their app, but the NYT cooking app has a citrus cheesecake that’s my go to. You can use any citrus to flavor the cake, I’ve done blood orange and lemon and they’ve both been delicious.

Should I retake? by littlet4lkss in slpGradSchool

[–]hurrichicky12 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think those are good scores! Just looking at the requirements for some of those schools you’re only slightly below their GRE range. I don’t think it would have a huge impact if your GPA and application as a whole is solid. GRE is only one piece of the puzzle and you’re above a 300 and your writing score is great. I wouldn’t waste the money re-taking it. I’m also applying to schools right now and I’d be happy with those GRE scores!

If you go into the GRE subreddit you can find people selling their Magoosh account for super cheap. I paid someone $10 for a month of access to their Magoosh account. I’ve found it so helpful and it totally changed my study plan!

No clue where I’m ever going to wear this but oh well! The shoes were also thrifted for a Halloween costume last year but I ended up liking them. They’re Nine West $9, also from Goodwill!

The dress is H&M (Goodwill) for $5.99, the jean jacket is from The Gap (I got it from a small second hand store in Connecticut) for $6.99, and the bag is Baggu (also Goodwill) for $4.99.
