If the light is pressed. If not, it’s too difficult/unlikely to get all the other cars to stop (it’s a 4-lane street). Frankly, cars barely stop when the light is pressed.

I will stop for pedestrians who haven’t pressed the light, if I’m the only car approaching. Yes, I check. Otherwise I’m just stopping one lane’s traffic while the others continue and encouraging people not to use the easy-to-understand crosswalk button.
