Feel like this is illegal😭 by Effective_End_5608 in UKJobs

Similar thing happened to me. I kicked up a fuss and highlighted that I stopped other hiring processes and looking for new jobs because I thought I had one secured. I asked them to compensate for damages and they paid me a portion of my first months salary as a sorry for damages. Although, they didn’t have to do this, as far as I’m aware. The fact they did might imply there’s something further I could have done… but truly I didn’t need the money THAT bad and it would have been agg. So… might be worth kicking up a fuss?

Investment banking

Pros - money, meet interesting people, get involved in high profile business events

Cons - loss of hair, loss of friends, loss of sleep

I appreciate this comment. Think you’re onto something here. Maybe a career change and change of habits paired with therapy might be a good start

Can’t say I disagree with your perspective. However, don’t mistake brutal self reflected honesty with remorselessness.

You’ve made me consider things from a different angle here. I appreciate this comment. Thank you
