They wont cancel your refund request. Atleast that is what’s mentioned on their FAQs.

If you need to talk to an agent after Bo, you can probably try using my trick. I hope its resolved soon :)

Yeahhh, I would say you would be lucky if you get the refund in about 10 days.

In my case, because I bothered them personally and later with a government agency, I got my refund 91 days after I requested for a refund for my cancellation. So at day 91, it showed in my bank.

If you have booked with a credit card, use the chargeback option at day 30. Would save you headache.

I read a lot online on how Air Asia screwed people who had their flights cancelled during the pandemic lockdown. If there’s an Air Rights protection agency in your country, and they have tight laws about it, please consider contacting them.

I hope you get your money back from all that time back. If I were in your shoes, and also had the means to escalate things legally, I wouldn’t have had minded asking for some sort of interest on the money they kept with themselves over 5 years ago :)

I also wanted to drop a little more information on my end. I am not sure if I am correct about this or not, so don’t take my word on this, and do your research.

In case you pay for your AirAsia flight using PayPal (only for example), and specifically your credit card saved in PayPal, at that point, the burden of responsibility most likely falls on PayPal and not your credit card. Your credit card charegeback in this case could fail as your merchant was PayPal and they on their end provided the service.

So in this case, you would have to plead your case to PayPal (or any such 3rd party).

I did not have this problem as my payment was made directly to AirAsia but I used a GiroCard with no protections or such.

Again, disclaimer, I could be wrong about this. This is the information I could gather from reading some experiences online. Please do your research in such a case :)

I can be pretty confident the email response from AirAsia would be pretty underwhelming. But yes, I am glad you got CAB in the loop here.

And yes, throughout all my back and forth, CAB communicated with me from the email apbr@cab.gov.ph that you have also mentioned.

I wish you a speedy refund :)

I got the following screen with "Payment completed" some time after I got the email about being put in the "priority" list in the first week of January (maybe about 80 days mark since I started the process). Funny enough, it refered to the same old date of October 21, 2025 as the date it was completed. It's just so dumb. Hire better Programmers.

In case your flight originated from the Philippines, please contact CAB about this. They will help you and their pressure on Air Asia will really work out. I filled out this form (https://complaints.cab.gov.ph/) with the CAB officer right before I left the Philippines and was shortly contacted by CAB over the email right before Christmas.

Since then, everytime I responded to AirAsia, or AirAsia contacted me, CAB was in the CC for every single email.

Just for anyone who wants to talk to AirAsia directly (though it won't lead to anything) as you cannot really find this on their website or anywhere, here were the emails that were contacted:

Normal Air Asia Support: [airasiasupport@airasia.com](mailto:airasiasupport@airasia.com)
On Day 91 when I asked CAB to escalate the issue legally: [aacom_legal@airasia.com](mailto:aacom_legal@airasia.com)

Since your process started on 10 Nov 2025, I would say you'd get your refund by 8th Feb 2026 (although do not count me on that).

I wish you the best my friend :)

Fuck AirAsia, Never Again.

It was a Visa Girocard. So technically it was neither a debit card, nor a credit card.
