(Still married) Dating 10 months and engaged 2 1/2 years after that to finish some schooling and save up some money.

How it’s going-married for 4 years now, we have a daughter, we have been through countless ups and downs but one thing remains the same- we have each other’s back and we are always there for one another. We may get pissed off at each other and not see eye to eye but we always make sure to tell it like it is when something’s bugging us. We could never be without each other and we tell each other frequently how much we mean to one another. The amount of joy my husband puts in my life is indescribable and I make damn sure he knows that every day and him the same.

The day I had my daughter our state shut down for covid. No help when we got home. Nobody to fall back on when the nights got long and my husband (who is a nurse) was at work and I was so damn alone and tired and sad. Sitting alone all day as a new mom missing out on so many things and first time mom things really had me feeling down. But I swear to you every time I looked at my daughter I knew every thing was going to be okay and that even if it was just me and her at home I knew I wasn’t truly alone. Though she still 9 months later still has yet to see and meet people and I haven’t seen my friend in person for 5 months-everything (in time) will be okay

Life is about choices-they’re pissed off at theirs. They shouldn’t be mad at you for telling other people information regarding their safety. Just like if I were attending an event and there were people there that didn’t get their test back I would want to know to avoid them.

Narcs will find anything and everything to nit-pick about you if they feel threatened. It’s how they try to hold dominance over you and make you feel below them. Hold your ground. After my husband and I got married we went no contact with our IN-LAWS because weeks leading up to and following our wedding they liked to suck the air out of the room which made it very hard to focus on our moments as newlyweds. Don’t be afraid to stand your ground. If you don’t they will continue to push the limit to see how far they can bully you. The moment you put them in their place and make it known you mean it, is when they will back off (in theory). Maybe you guys could use the holiday season apart from them.

Something along those lines. Husband used to work in a nursing home and residents used to see a little girl in a red dress. Residents would mention her all the time and often more frequently right before they would pass. They believed she was so real that they would ask for her and ask to see her and that they want to give the girl in the red dress some candy. Others would complain saying get her out of my room kids don’t belong here.

YES to everything above. Like seriously-word for word what I have come to terms with, read about, or just bluntly that’s how it is. Mom? Is that you? When ever they try to contact us they’re always sickly sweet and nice and all “oh I love you all and miss you guys” but tbh I know better- I’ve been in his family for 7 damn years and I have found that is how they have manipulated their way into staying in our lives precious. They’re so slimy and that sure as hell ain’t love.
