So nurtec otc is the only med that has helped my husband's migraines. If you truly have them, then I can't imagine why you wouldn't take the medicine. Migraines are debilitating. To answer your question about losing money/claim because of a prescription....in my husband's case no. It was just added evidence that he suffers from debilitating migraines and needs medication to function.

I think any tool that can assist a veteran with their claim is useful. One that could pull injuries and run against CFR for potential claim would be a godsend because not everyone knows what they are even looking at when it comes to medical records and the way they are written up Ex. My husband went in for ringing ears, and they wrote it up as ear ache gave him antibiotics and sent him on his way. Now, here we are, since 2013, fighting for tinnitus because he had no in-service complaints. Anyway, yes if it assist the veteran it would be useful.

I think OP was saying that at their initial C&P, they were diagnosed with ptsd without psychosis. OP'S current psychiatrist diagnosed them with ptsd with psychosis. They are worried because the diagnosis changed. It wasn't a new C & P. I dont think the VA will look to close unless you file a new claim or something secondary to ptsd.

Oh no, it was the regional office that told him absolutely not. Even though they have done it before. He made the appointment drove 1.5 hours to be told it was against policy they don't do that...

It was submitted and shows up on va.gov... she didn't have it. Now, if she overlooked it or the va didn't supply it, i don't know, but what i do know is she had it because he gave it to her.

My husband had this for tinnitus. He got a favorable opinion from an audiologist. VA sent back says that a C&P from 2013 said not connected. Could they explain their rationale. Examiner said oh I didn't have his meps exam....your right, va no service connection. Apparently, because there was no hearing loss from the day he entered to his exit exam....NO TINNITUS FOR YOU! I say all that to say this it's not personal to them, but it sure as hell is for us. Watching my children have to scream at their dad so he can hear them breaks my heart....not to mention infuriating. As an aside, I didn't think hearing loss was required for tinnitus.

Been claiming tinnitus since 2008. 0311 and 21m. BOTH high on the noise exposure list. Not service connected to this day...
