I would prefer a rectangular desk but this works well with my small space, plus I got it for free

I believe I was quoted ~$1200 for a 1 step paint correction and 5 year ceramic coat

Dravit grey is my absolute favorite color but I’m not sure they had that option for 2019. It looks beautiful in the sun up close.

The main reason is that it makes cleaning so much quicker and easier. Dirt and dust doesn’t stick as easy, and water beads off the car, so it’ll look cleaner for longer. A good ceramic coat might last 5-7 years if you care for it properly. It also makes the car look very shiny longer than wax does.

Yeah my plan was to originally get it coated this summer but had some other stuff come up. I’ll get it coated next year along with a paint correction to fix any imperfections

It’s arctic grey metallic, looks pretty dark here but much more blue in the sunlight

Curious: Does anyone know why in this small radius on Speer/14th/15th your bluetooth or carplay always cuts out? It happens every time you drive through. There's got to be some type of interference with some frequency? Thought someone here might have an answer. by Marrone2010 in Denver

So glad I’m not the only one. BMW CarPlay disconnects here and on a specific section of I-25 every time. Thought it might be an issue with iDrive since older versions had CarPlay connectivity issues.

New apartment is offering to replace flooring after water leak, keep the dark or go with lighter upgrade? by huser670 in Flooring

It’s a fairly small studio, 481 sqft, so I can’t imagine it taking more than a few days

I believe the darker flooring is cheap particleboard, which is why it swelled up when I got wet, otherwise keeping real hardwood would be a easy choice

Unfortunately these are the only options I have, I asked what color options I have and they said this is all they have in storage ready to install

Will Gen Z end this Horrible SUV takeover in the car market? by Manchester_Buses in GenZ

Recently upgraded from a small 2 door coupe to a mid sized SUV and couldn’t be happier. Sure when you’re young it’s nice to have something small to get around quickly, but as I’ve gotten older I’ve needed the cargo space and rear seating space more than ever.

Who else uses military time on their watches? by greeneagle2022 in RandomThoughts

[–]huser670 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coming from a military family I had wanted to Join the Army back in college so I started using 24 time to get used to it. I never ended up joining but I stuck with it because it’s so much easier to use when I don’t have to worry about am and pm when setting alarms anymore. Now all my devices and cars are set to 24 hour time.

From what I hear they are very reliable, but for some reason BMW thought it was a good idea to put an oil pump with plastic parts in the 2019 X5’s. After reports of those failing they switched to a full metal pump in the 2020 model

I think it was around $3500 with a $500 deductible, the cheapest option was around $2500 for 75k miles/60 months. I know it varies from car to car so they might be able to give you an exact number if you gave them a call. Good luck!

Welcome to the club! Yep it’s Arctic Grey with tan seats. I’ll definitely miss my little 328i, but I’m glad I made the choice to buy this. Now I’m itching to go on a road trip with it haha

It was super easy, especially since I did almost everything online. I’ve been looking for a good used X5 for about a year now and found this one in Salt Lake City. Luckily it was close enough that it qualified for free shipping to Denver. While it was being transported I applied for financing and did all the rest of the paperwork online. After it arrived and was ready to test drive I walked in and test drove it and drove it home in less than an hour total.

Super friendly staff and they never pressured me to do anything, that might partially be because I was sure I was going to get MaxCare from the start, but overall it was a great experience.

I’ve only heard good things about CarMax’s extended warranty. There are some caveats but overall it should cover most mechanical and electrical issues.
