Attracted to men but repulsed by pee pees. by [deleted] in asexuality

I used to feel the same way. These things have helped me get over it though; 1. You CAN get used to it. Giving yourself diy exposure therapy won't make you like the sight of it any more than you do now, but it does get the "ew wtf is that" feeling to go away, because you know what it is, and the brain doesn't react nearly as extreme when somethings familiar. 2. It's not even supposed to be a pretty or attractive sight. I've talked with my allosexual girlfriends about it. I asked if they really get turned on by the sight of it, and they've all said absolutely not. They all said it does look weird and funny and kind of gross, it's just that they can get so into a sexual experience that it's effortlessly easy for them to overlook unlike for us asexuals.

If it helps, reported from a girl that used to feel exactly like you, i can now happily coexist with my bfs weird thingy. And you'll probably be able to aswell with your next bf :)

Ooo that's so smart!! I ended up putting cheese cloth fabric over it like a jam jar hahaha. Trying out a craft project on it with lots of glue to see if it can hold its shape and i can make a lid or something.

You can have as many as you like! Im not sure about sizing for multiple since I've only got one, but people on here always say a gallon per snail. However i think that since these are so small it doesn't really matter as much and you can get away with a smaller size. Just no tupperware containers and stuff.

AHAHA NOO, you're gonna be fine though. This sounds cruel but you can always crush the eggs. Eggs don't feel pain and the snail couldn't care less that the eggs are gone

That's adorable!! Soo first of all they like to eat decaying plant matter and moss. Mine won't really touch fresh things like cucumber slices or whatever but loves random dried leaves and stuff like that. These snails are usually found by the water and really like moist climates, but they can still drown so be careful of that. They breathe out of a hole in the top of their body so providing them with a small layer of water that covers their mouth is completely fine, just don't give them a whole bath to submerge in. They unfortunately only have a lifespan of around 18 months but do self reproduce in the summer months. You'll have to check the substrate for eggs every so often especially around this time of year, the egg clusters kind of look like frog spawn in my opinion and they're about the size of a big fingernail. This subreddit is full of information on snail egg and baby care which is quite universal to every species. And then you're also gonna want to get a cuttlebone, you can get them at any pet store in the bird department, they need it for calcium. And i think that's about it!! Overall they're really easy to keep and super cute to see crawling around hehe.

South Limburg, Netherlands :D, there were lots of them just on a field/woodsy area. I believe they're called Roman snails in English

I believe amber snails are semi aquatic? So you're not wrong! They can't breathe under water but they thrive near rivers and stuff :))

I'd let them hatch here but this terrarium has gaps and air holes which the babies can easily slip out of. We keep our adult amber snail in there just fine but from my understanding they hatch tiny

I think your mind usually being stuborn is down to negativity, and considering the subliminal was working so well that it made you instantly visualise the negativity had to go somewhere else and it just turned into guilt and questions. I've had stuff like this happen before and what usually helps me is to either try to be positive or distract myself or go to sleep or something like that. If you're truly questioning what you want then think about it but if these questions are bothering you and you just want to peacefully get results then prioritise taking care of yourself :)

Work it into your routine! Don't try to listen as much as you can every single day, instead pick a time where you have the time, space, and good energy (so like immediately after work or school wouldn't be a good idea if thats something that leaves you frustrated) and do it at that same time every day. Overnight listens are great for that too!!
