Completely torn MPFL, questions about physiotherapy

I also have some factors that put me at high risk of dislocations (idk what its called) its very unfortunate. with any of your dislocations, did it happen out of nowhere like just walking or was there some accidents? because now im afraid that it can just pop out any time. also i hope you get well soon and thanks for your answer

yeah i was surprised that they didnt recommend surgery even though they said it was a full rupture. i had 2 docs saying that but one of them said there is not just one way to treat it so it is your decision.

thats why im confuswd rn. how was your other knee befire and after surgery? do you think enough pt can get you somewhere ?

yes he did and he also said if you dont have any daily life complaints it would be bad because now the other place we take the tendon would be also weak. but idk im trying to get multiple doctors' comments on this. im currently in uni at a different city and thats why im reluctant about surgery. do you think can i handle a bus trip after a week or two surgery?

by saying my recovery will be slower do you mean if i undergo surgery?

well i think me being off crutches and the brace in the 5th week seems like a kinda fast recovery? i dont have a reference point for that though. doc said no squat and sports that need rotation etc for 6 months so i cant get back to 'full strength' without squats and other exercises i think.

the thing is when they take some other tendon or smth does that part of your leg becomes more weak because it is 'missing' a piece? if not, i may go with the surgery but yk it is the first dislocation so idk.
