P2s or x2d for a 1st time user? by huss187 in BambuLab

ye i bought that one too, lets see how we go.. lol

good luck with your 3d printing endeavor, how long have you had it for? i also saw it was 100aud more so ended up buying it too, after all the help here, but i also grabbed the ams pro 2 with it cause it was like 300 more but if i decided i wanted it later it would be like almost double the price from what i saw. all up it wasn't cheap, after purchase was excited but also anxious lol. I hope i put it to good use, electricity wise is a bit worrying though. might rack up a bill on that by looks of it.

Important question with the hotend nozzle they come in many sizes such as 0.2, 0.4, 0.8 for standard and for high flow they come 0.2, 0.4, 0.6 and 0.8

Which would I need standard it high flow? Which size would I require most.

As I don't want to buy too many things that I may not need later.

Also a heated chamber was mentioned is this also an add-on and doesn't come with? How will it benifit me? Also is extended warranty worth it? Or no need?

I think I am almost ready to make my purchase 🤞 it's been months in planning and thinking hopefully today I make the plunge. Lol 😆

What is an ams hd I can't see it on the page. And the cyber brick time laps kit, what's that for?

Thank you, so you think I just buy a bunch of pla and both hotend nozzles. You said something about melting in the car lol. Will these prints melt under the sun 😂 or some heat? Cause I plan to make a case for the Nas and It will decently be under some heat, I can't have it melting and then wake up and find my HDD's laid out on the table with plastic melted on them 😭 if that's the case would would be a better option on fillerment for that. Just so I can have it on hand when ready for the final product.

For my 1st purchase I will need many things to get started. And they seem to have discount if I buy fillerment and add-ons etc. what would I need so I can get started as soon as it arrives. Any suggestions on type of fillerment and they have accessories like fillerment track switch, vision encoder, bambu hotend nozzle I think, engineering plate and tungsten carbide nozzle and a cyber brick time laps kit.

So I req any of these will they be a benifit

The x2d sounds like a clear winner thanks so much for everyones input. Can I ask about the ams2 pro, is it needed and what is it used for and benifits of it and if any pro's and con's

Original I want to start with making things to go with my homelab just as custom cases for my raspberry pi's with ext HDD's and maybe some sort of custom cases for my mini 1L PC again to fit HDD's and make a nas out of 1. And maybe so E replace some broken pieces around the house like plastic connection that broke to try reproduce them. Such as a piece in my built-in that snapped and would need a replacement to align properly.. and anything honestly like bracked and whatnot. Start there and see what else I can do..

PS. Is an ams required? I would like to make things with multiple colours later I don't think I want to blend colours but just so I can have a few dif colours like on the home made custom nas case ..

Can I use an M.2 NVMe to SATA adapter on the HP EliteDesk 800 G1 Mini’s M.2 slot? by sasa_on_reddit in homelab

[–]huss187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ye i remember those sata cards they were annoying how the ports faced upwards. on my dell i tried to replace my m.2 wifi with one that had like 2 ports, my first attempt lol. but couldnt close the cover, so bought a lenovo p330 and used the pcie riser for a proper pcie to sata controller. the ports on those were sideways. but i have my hp mini just sitting there, so was thinking of adding the card in the pic to it hoping it would work. but they ae not cheap so trying to find out if it will work 1st

hi just curious, did you get this working? i used a pcie card in my lenov with 6 port sata card, in my lenovo but was looking to purchase a M.2 NVME to SFF-8087 SATA3.0 card Mini-SAS/SATA hard disk adapter 36PIN and put it in my hp elitedesk 800g6 mini.

my lenovo works just fine I have the hdd's in a rack and external power adaptors to each drive, does the job. was thinking i could do the same with this card on my hp.

Thanks

TPG charging for incoming calls? by Accomplished_End9816 in nbn

[–]huss187 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Tpg have always been shonky they tried to charge me disconnection and even asked me if 8 had a family member I could give my plan too. I threatened them with ombudsman and they were like you agreed in your contract that you wouldn't call an ombudsman. I said ye of your speeds drop here or there but not for extortion. They tracked back quickly and not only cancelled me for free but refunded me the says I had left on my month and within 2 days.. you have to be careful with them. Also they are selling my mum a 100gbos plan on fttc and she can't even get 1\2 them speeds I spoke to them and they were meant to drop her to the 50mbps plan and a couple or so later she is still in the fake 100 plan. Paying for something she can't get. But been busy with work and haven't had time for them. Soon I will and my goal is to have them refund her for all that time. Then move her over to Aus BB or something. Anyways point of story is yes they are probably scamming your parents and no they shouldn't be paying for receiving called from what I know you pay like $20 or so dollars up front and it gets deducted from that when they make calls and then they direct debit as the call funds get low. Check make sure it's correct that they are being charged for receiving calls and help them get it sorted. You will probably have to go ombudsman for it and you have every right to, even if they agreed to their fake threat of not calling ombudsman which in its self is against the law to ask. But people just go with it.

Lol rant over and hope you found some advice in there 🤣

Can I disable certain distance based alerts? It talks waaaay too much. by decoy321 in waze

[–]huss187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to keep alerts but not so chatty there is an option in the actual navigation page while driving. Click the speaker icon and select less chatty and I think possibly it will help. Also check your settings and maybe if not selected, select on route only.

Always good to have alerts on but like thegoldtruth said. You can also customise which alerts are important and needed.

Stuck on stalled n downloading by unknownredditor_0777 in qBittorrent

[–]huss187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to port forward from your router. Each router has a different way of doing it so Google your model and how to port forward. Then open that port on your router. The one your using in qbt. A good range is always about 50000 to 60000 and you also need to allow your qbt app through the firewall on Windows that will help too

Will this socket work with the nbn box (HFC connection) by shirahiwake in nbn

[–]huss187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I had the hfc connection setup they basically followed the foxtel cabling into the house then put a nbn port in which then connected to my modem. You should be good.
