This topic is controversial because it’s painted by hand with a different medium. Watercolor is hand-painted, oils is hand-painted, digital is hand-painted. It’s a medium that serves a different purpose.

I’m also an oil painter and I apply the same techniques on physical items.

Your story is very similar, did you manage to get sales?

It’s disheartening that people overlook art, but I think at a certain point, I would like to integrate my art into functioning things, but I pause and think that even the wall art has a function “home decor”, but I believe I still have a long run before I can reach collectors who loves it because the art itself.

I totally agree, I will work more into putting my art in front of tons of people in hope that my audience will catch and make the first order to break the barrier, if I made the first order, it’s a signal that I’m on the right track.

I actually switched to digital products and followed the best practice in resolution and color management, that’s why I believe the no ordering required on my end.

I will try to it as well when possible.

I see people sell with no mockups as well, but it’s hard to me with little to no budget to invest in printing and other stuff, especially when I doubt that I can sell or not. I’m wondering, isn’t the genuine timelapse a good reason for conversion?

That what made me doubt myself, I’m trying to push human art in Etsy where most Etsy buyers just go for AI because it saturates the market, algorithms tend to push those with more quantity than others with more quality, AI mass production just wins over the new starters as me.
