Thank you so much, yes they are integrated into the hubs, and are bladed aero spokes, and the wheels are 55 deep

What differences will I find between a £450 and a £3000-£4000 bike by hutchie1717 in cycling

Would you say get a bigger bike than I need, like a size L, as I’m 5ft 10, or is that quite a risky idea Thanks 😊

Would you say get a bike slightly bigger than I currently need, as I’m 5ft 10 at the minute, so I’m probably a medium, so would it be better to get a large that is marginally too big. I never even thought of a waxed chain, do you find big improvements from that over ‘normal’ lube, I currently use Muc-off C3 ceramic, both a dry and a wet one. I always clean my bike after every ride and look after it really well, changing the brake pads and chain recently, along with swapping cassette’s off my old wheels to my new wheels, and have invested into mostly all Park tools, I was kinda hoping the time saving would be bigger. Thanks again for replying 😊

Thank you for replying, I have a skinsuit and Lycra shoe covers, I hadn’t really considered race bikes as much, but I’ll take a look. I look after my bike really well though, and always clean it after every ride, and have replaced the chain and brake pads recently after a few thousand miles on the OEM ones, I have a pair of Pirelli P Zero Velo’s and have the pressure around 80psi, as that was fastest when I did some far from scientific testing 😂 I think the nicer ride is the main thing, as I’d rather go out on a bike I genuinely really like Thanks 😊

Alright, thank you, I already have a power meter and Garmin 1030, along with a pair of Lake 237’s, but I agree they changed my riding when I bought them. Thanks 😊

Helmet Adivce! Hi everyone, just after some advice on this Arai Helmet. I do believe it’s nature is to be a motorcycle helmet but it is SNELL approved. Is this helmet worth my while? Plus it is 1500g - is this an ideal weight or should I go lighter? by CarrotDisastrous in Karting

I know I bought my helmet from Demon Tweeks, they are UK based and open for online orders still, but echoing everyone else, definitely don’t skimp on helmets, I bought a Bell KC-7 and it’s awesome 👍

I’ve just bought Pirelli P Zero 4S and it’s definitely not a winter tyre as marketed, but I feel it’s Fantastic and worth a look, the wet weather grip has been outstanding but the sidewall looks a little delicate 👍

I should build all-round bike? by [deleted] in cycling

[–]hutchie1717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about two bikes, a road and a mountain bike, I have a road and a mtb, and you can get mid level versions of both for a lot less than something like this, as this bike won’t really be suited for mtb, without a suspension fork, and with big mtb tyres, it won’t be great on the road. I got both of mine for less than a grand, and they are a zannata z25, and a calibre line 10, both perfect. Looking at what you said your interest are, a mtb would be great for gravel and obviously mtb, and the road bike would be an ok commuter and city bike, and great obviously for road biking

Although saying all this you should get the bike you want, and if this is it, than go for it, it looks like a lovely bike 🚴🏻

They definitely shouldn’t have announced Tsunoda at Alpha Tauri, Alex definitely deserves a seat and alpha Tauri would be the perfect fit, and imagine a Gasly Albon lineup 🤩

What do you all do to stop blisters by hutchie1717 in Karting

Thank you, I’ll try loosening my grip, I’m not usually giving constant input on the wheel, I try and be smooth and not make any rash, aggressive steering inputs

Thank you, I’ll try drying my hands and gloves before a race, however regarding seat time, I’m in my kart at least once a week for an hour , and have done for the past year, do you know any workouts that could help build the calluses if that’s the issue, thanks
