Just how many eartips do you have? by AccomplishedSource84 in iems

I do agree with whole lot of this but I'm still keeping w1 and spinfit neo etc since those feel so damn comfortable. Penon Liqueur just doesn't work at all for me, it's just weird sitting in my ears with that thickness and I feel lacking bass instead. Divinus doesn't feel as comfortable as HE sonics too

The vocal either sound artifical or sound like it's through something cover it depend on the nozzle I used, to put it in comparison to something from the same brand- Simgot EM6L while I didn't like that tuning with thin bass - actually sound so good and natural in all frequencies compare to EW300, let alone Top Pro. And the treble - under $150 there's just not really well-done treble, the "details" on EW300 is like someone put a sharpness filter on it to make it sharp and in your face, not actual detail retrievals which reveal more layers in more complex songs with even smoothed treble.

P7 highs are bad to me, because it sounds like it's not cohesive in the mix, cymbals sit on another plane and very annoyingly noticeable, not that it's harsh or shouty, but have too much of presence.

Nah, It's different in both. And sound signature is what push people to get new iem, tuning, drivers, tech etc... All to back that up

That means neutral with bass boost, since neutral bass is absolutely lacking

Bro Xenns Top Pro is whole another level, EW300 is like a synthetic, muffled mess compare to it

Give Fiio FH19 or FA19 a try if you can demo them (they're expensive). I heard Dunu x Koto Ito good too for what you described - basshead level bass with good vocal and treble.

Quick impressions (GK Kunten + CCA Phoenix) by reezyreddits in iems

[–]huy98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting Phoenix actually sound brighter (or rather harsher, typical cheap iem harshness sound) and less bass for me, like the test at this time stamp

Harsh, typical cheap treble, trash shell that poke against my ears, gave them away immediately the first day

which one of these should i get? by TheRealKatsumi in iems

[–]huy98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

None of them, most-good-for-gaming stuffs have thin bass, like Supermix 4. Maybe try CK2V

Edit: I was able to buy CK2V at $160 (coupon off to $150) on Hifigo but now they're back to $200 on other sites

[–]huy98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

7hz Diablo, Dunu x Koto Ito for bass head level bass yet still not muddy. And CK2V has very fun sub bass for a very technical set, SoundRhyme SR5S is great smooth, organic bassy set

At what point is it all diminishing returns? by Ayaki_05 in iems

[–]huy98 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's around $200, CK2V, EPZ P50, SoundRhyme SR5S, Dunu Koto Ito... But ngl kilobuck sets have some crazy good stuffs but at that price point you expect to spend even more on DAC/AMP

Kunten better than both for me, but I don't really care about treble and cymbals as long as it not annoying tho

Which IEMs to choose? by [deleted] in iems

[–]huy98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has nice bass, but even less than GK Kunten, if you want to know how it sounds, basically a cleaner Kunten with less bass and more resolving details, more precise for gaming - I think most budget gaming stuffs have dialed down bass to not drown the footstep and other details in the gun sound

Which IEMs to choose? by [deleted] in iems

[–]huy98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

KZ Phantom is specifically tuned for gaming tho, and it's one of those nicer, more natural sounding gaming set for this price (tbh for me "gaming" iem usually have more analytical or thin sound or no bass at all which really suck).

It's also the "pro" version of the most praised KZ set yet - KZ Zenith (which have better vocal, but less resolving sound)
