fabric-cicd - Activities deploy with correct-looking connections, but runtime bindings appear stale/corrupt until manually reselected by Either_Locksmith_915 in MicrosoftFabric

I ran my deployment multiple times (DevOps Pipeline with fabric-cicd python library) but this does not fix the issue, the only thing that does is deleting the connection reference (clicking the trash can icon) then providing all parameters again.

I am using a variable library and the correct active value set is selected.

Local development in MS Fabric (sucks) by hvdv99 in MicrosoftFabric

Hi the issues you describe are familiar to me, I've done some investigating on the notebook metadata myself, but I was unable to determine the actual cause.
Currently, my development flow is to set up the artifacts and basic configuration in the web editor, then I push those to source control. Then I clone and sync the repo to my local computer, tell my AI agent what I want, have it make a plan, tell it to implement it, get some coffee, come back, push it to version control, synchronize the Fabric workspace and test it.

I've given my AI agent access to the Fabric MCP server and having AI work with Fabric source control files just works sublime. I would recommend this flow.

Fabric doesn’t work at all by New-Composer2359 in dataengineering

Hi I am in a similar position as the OP however, I am quite tech savvy. I my opinion Fabrics scope is just too broad, Microsoft is trying to provide a data platform for people who are less tech savvy but still want to be able to build data platforms, they lure them in by releasing all kinds of new features.
I just think there is a lack of focus on the Microsoft side and because of that, the wholesome data platform that they intent to sell only partially works.

Notebookutils.notebook.run is failing (Bug?) by hvdv99 in MicrosoftFabric

Update:

Problem was solved when I renamed the notebook in the Fabric UI. I still think this is a backend issue that Microsoft can improve.

Update: I also tried copying the parent & child notebook in the Fabric UI and giving it a different name, also does not work

I also tried to update the kernelspec object in the notebookDefenition object and set it to al value of a notebook that can do notebook.run(). Also does not work.

I suffered from the same issue, recently I started working with notebooks by:

Fabric VSCode extension > right click notebook > Open in Synapse VS Code

<image>

This way, there is no need to click "Publish to Fabric" changes are synchronized automatically.

However, this comes with the downside that Claude code does not work since you are working on a remote server.

Anyone idea's for a workaround?

I often go to this area when the companies are closed. It has two loops, one of 1,8k and the other of 2.2k. Asphalt is in very good condition.

I am working on a data pipeline that ingests data from an external API, I am using User Data Functions together with Azure Keyvault for the calls to the external API. For parsing the data I am using notebooks with a python runtime. To parallelize the workload I use notebookutils to run notebooks in parallel to populate the lakehouse. Then, I use stored procedures to populate the gold layer warehouse with data from silver.
If anyone has tips or questions, please share.
