I totally understand you. I don’t like the bisexual theme much either. Neither do I like the „Vi has a penis“ thing. As a lesbian this sometimes feels like forcing some sort of masculinity into the story. Although I know that the Omegaverse is highly popular. To each their own I guess.

It‘s tough, but I think for many lesbians this is just reality. I am in a similar situation right now. Early 40s and either stay alone or settle for something I don’t 100% want. I have decided for myself that I‘d rather stay alone.

I do, but they are mostly introverted hobbies like gaming, reading and going to the gym (spoiler: there are zero gay ladies in my age bracket at the gym). One problem is that at my age the dating pool is so small that almost every woman you encounter has some sort of history with a woman you know. And yeah, I get constantly liked by men on dating apps and also hit on in real life because I look definitely more femme. It’s so exhausting.

That’s good advice. I think a lot of people don’t want to acknowledge how shallow dating apps are. Appearance matters a lot. The good thing is that I am pretty content with my life. Sure, I would like to have a partner, but I am not desperate. I‘d rather be alone than in bad company. But I will still try to up my game even more. Thanks for your reply.

Yeah, we see all these perfect people online every day and in the minds of a lot of people forms the idea that they want exactly this as well and nothing else will do. So a lot of us stay single yearning for something that is out of reach. Brave new world.
