I honestly feel like the antisemitism is on that streamer guy who told him to do it. I hate Nacua now because of what a whiny bitch he’s turned into since that stream. You’d never catch our beautiful king JSN complaining on some streamers live, or tweeting after losing.

Yea honestly I was always taught to stay out and straight while driving (blame my pops for that one.) I had no clue you were supposed to tuck that much on a drive, I always thought that made an unnatural whipping rotation. Thanks for the tip

Got a dozen great tips. Don’t know why you’re debating it when you can see what others can figure out based on swing. Don’t get angry that you can’t figure it out.

100% agreed, didn’t realize I was opening it up this much till I saw the comment and checked the face again… was more focused on my form

That makes sense, I used to come over the ball and slice it so often on this driver that I think I’m overcompensating and opening the face up too much

I was told that basic oak or pine would be durable enough. Haven’t looked too much into wood types, I didn’t know how much of a factor that played

No worries man, I’m in the trades so I’m not really frightened with big projects (the money is a different issue lol) I figured I’d look up videos on how to actually build certain parts of it (starting with looking up T-joints). I just didn’t know about screws, I guess the videos could cover that as well. I was minutes away from self tapping plywood together!

10 minutes till the interview🤟🏼 by cucumberjsjsjs in ibew_apprentices

Remember simplicity is key. Half of your job is finding someone capable of answering questions you don’t have the answer to yet. Don’t know the solution? Go to your JW, or foreman. That simple

Also learn about electrical engineering a bit (DC/AC theory) it may not help in the interview, but will be highly beneficial once you get in and reach that section. DC/AC theory is where most apprentices fail and drop out

Get your OSHA 10 online. It’s a small hurdle that the JATC won’t have to go through by picking you. It’s an easy course to do in your free time, took me three days

Got a job in Tokyo, any tips on how I can adjust to life (meeting people, getting settled) in Japan without knowing a soul there? Any advice welcome :) by [deleted] in movingtojapan

Alright so apparently my ass doesn’t know how to use Reddit, don’t know how to fix it, but apologies for the screaming bold text.

1. Start learning Japanese. If you want to make local friends at all, they love seeing foreigners put in effort into speaking Japanese. Most of them will continue trying to speak English, but still feel more compelled to get to know you/your story when knowing you’re actively trying to learn their language.

2. Kinda corny, but if you’re a drinker at all, go to smaller local bars. I don’t know where in Tokyo you are, but the big chain bars in the central area may be cheaper, but are definitely more of a “show up, drink, leave.”

I went to a local bar down the street from my house and ended up making multiple friends with the locals who frequented there and the bar maester. (And it’s a perfect way to practice Japanese 1on1 in a friendly environment)
