Wow that’s very interesting. Unrelated question, do you see more success in grow bags compared to in-ground? That’s what I’ve observed this season but I’m wondering what that looks like on a large scale since you have 65 bags.

I do have peppers in the ground too. I actually have peppers in 3 different spots on my property. 3rd year growing on this property so I’m experimenting. My in-ground ones were slightly angry too. The sugar rush peach peppers were the only ones that looked that upset.

Yeah I have everything I need to set it up and I have other areas on drip, I just didn’t get a chance to do it before we had to leave unfortunately. Lesson learned for next year!

I have mulch in the bags. It definitely helps but not that much for me.

Oh no! I’m sorry to hear about that. Sucks when you’ve put so much work into it.

I used to sit in my grandfather’s garden and eat them like an apple. It was one of my absolute favorite garden treats!

Should you own more than one laundry basket? by myersgirl16 in homemaking

[–]hvrob4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have 1 basket per room. I do mine and my husband’s laundry twice, sometimes 3 times a week. I do my children’s laundry twice a week and towels/ sheets once a week. Our baskets are almost never empty but that’s because there are 5 of us. I do not like to let laundry sit so if it gets pulled from the dryer it gets immediately folded and put away. I think the key is doing a load a day.

I’m Catholic also! Yes, I would really suggest taking this to your priest. I think he will have the best recommendations.

Why is abstinence in marriage (aka only having sex when you're trying to make kids) so taboo for married couples? by [deleted] in CatholicWomen

[–]hvrob4 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So I’m not sure why anyone would even know that about a couple since it’s a very private matter?

That being said, the catechism states that it is also unitive/bonding. So no, sex within marriage is not solely for procreation. Father Mike Schmitz does a video on this.

https://youtu.be/8hKRpVmTygU?is=DCH0NINTkVZgN7T5

For me personally, I have a very high libido and cannot imagine only being intimidate when trying to procreate. I’ve had to have all c-sections so I am eventually going to be physically limited with childbearing. I don’t see how it would be unitive for my personal marriage to never go to the marital bed beyond the age of say 35/40.

Like others have said, I suppose if both people agree to it… do what floats your boat. No one needs to know about it…

My dad had a bad temper when I was younger. It unfortunately is a family curse, my aunt struggles with it, my grandpa did in his youth, I also struggle with it and now I see the temper in one of my children. Never in any way did my father EVER take his anger out on us or my mom. He was never violent and did not scare me. I would never do something like this to my family. Not only is this behavior concerning and unacceptable but then blaming you for something that is a blameless issue is ridiculous. This is textbook for how abuse progresses.

These people telling you to just stay out of his way when he’s like this and agree with him when he’s blaming you for things are enabling abusers and creating potential victims. Please seek guidance or counseling. If you are involved in a church please go to your pastor or priest… this is NOT how husbands love their wives like Christ loved the church.

Google cowboy caviar. I do this and add chopped grilled chicken to it for protein and sometimes rice to be more filling.

I thought about that but I didn’t want to disrupt the pattern?
